DUDE! You can put a greddy type s on that ****nit!! Don't listen to them, recircs aren't for the true racer, you have to have that sound. :) j/k! :rlaugh: :rlaugh: :rlaugh:
Run new speaker wires to the speakers is usually the easier way, makes it sound a lil better also.. factory like 20 gauge wiring sucks, go to walmart and buy some like 14 gauge, its still small, but handles an aftermarker head unit a lot better..
I love 4.10's, just have no traction (needs UCA/LCA) with some ET Streets.. With my Nitto's it goes through three gears before it grabs most of the time.
You can still have a sleeper with lots of mods, I just don't open my hood. When people ask what I have done, I just say a cone filter and long tube headers. They says it sounds good, I say thanks. :D
And if you are going to race on public roads, at lease find one that no cars drive on, or block something off. Tracks are a lot further away for me than streets where people race..
The wiring to put a 94+ 2G in is pretty simple, I just bought an amp wiring kit for the 10 or 12 gauge wire instead of the stock like 14 gauge they run, I just put a O type connector on, seems to work fine. If you need to put an OE back on, just buy a 94+.
I have an A-Trim running 6psi since I bought my car, with the stock tranny and King Cobra clutch AND drag radials, and I have been fine, it also could be the fact that I have 4.10's and don't get traction until 4th gear most of the time..
4.10's with a blower.
I have 4.10s with a blower, works just fine. I have Nitto 555R's they hook in 3rd.. it run's 11's no problem, so don't discourage him from going with steeper gears because of the traction issues..
