having a hard time with wheels...

Try the tire rack website, they have lots of wheel / tire combinations. The other thing to consider is diameter and tire aspect ratio. Alot of folks like the big wheel short tire look, others prefer the more traditional look of 15" wheels with 60 series tires. You should also consider wheel...

    Head work

Those are good prices. Buy new springs that match your cam for sure. You may need a valve guide or two which will be a few more bucks bot not much. If you plan on doing any port work, do it before you send the heads in to be machined. It's a good idea to have the compression face...

    Mustang / Cobra Jackets

I love mine, got it a few years ago. I think it was from "dearborn classics" on the web. Mine is the traditional blue. A guy at work has one that's dark red. Those are the only two I know of. I get a lot of comments about it. try www.dearbornclassics.com not sure

    edelbrock performer vs RPM

Unless you plan on doing some iterations with desk top dyno or the like, it's wise to do a package set up, or follow recomendations of the head manufacturer or the like. Performer RPM with Performer RPM camshaft, and good cylinder heads will be a nice package for street / strip.

    Torque box repair

Thanks, but I can't take the credit, this was all done by a friend of mine, and believe it or not, this was his first work with a welder, he just had an hour or so of tutoring from an expert friend. I can answer your questions however. 1. the frame rail fabrication is a frame rail from NPD...

    Torque box repair

a friend of mine has just completed a good bit of floor / subframe repair on a 67 coupe. May not be exactly what you are looking for, but may give you some good ideas / examples. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/dstolarc/album?.dir=/8c56&urlhint=actn,ren%3as,1%3af,0

    Which gear oil

As I recall you don't need to use the friction modifier with the locker, sinc it's mechanical / sprag lock, not friction disc lock like the trac-lock..... correct? Another vote for synthetic gear lube here. Valvoline, Amzoil, whatever you can get off the shelf, 80-90w or 75-140w.

    Balancer shifted. now what?

REPLACE IT NOW! I've seen the carnage first hand, NOT pretty. I'm sure I've seen stock replacement units for a reasonable cost through summit. Good luck, and thanks for rubbing it in about your locale, not only do us northerners have to put up with cold weather, but salt too! You guys...

    Headliner

I did my boss302 with both glass in place, not sure if it's the same on the 67. As I recall there were "grabbers" almost like carpet tack strip near both windows. It's a tricky job. After doing it once myself, I'll tell you this, if the upholstry shop will do it for a reasonable fee, have...

    Rear Main Seal?

That's a question for the machine shop. I believe I've heard of some guys doing this, you machine the bore into the back of the block and the rear main cap for using the one piece press in seal. I've not done it myself, but it sure sounds like a good idea to me.

    Is this a detroit locker??

That sure looks like a spool to me, drag race only. It's solid, both axles turn the same RPM at all times. Not sure about the splines, I'd figure most spools would be 31, but not sure.

    Detroit Area Mustang guys

Yup I was at Livernois, they ran my diesel on the dyno for me for free, that was a humbling experience, much lower numbers than I expected, I must have a leak around the turbo somewhere, but they did not have a boost gauge to record with the power / torque. I think the prices of $35 to race...

a little awareness of an ebay scam (another one....)

These bad apples are all too typical. After more than 170 transactions on Ebay, I've been approached by them on almost every vehicle I've sold, maybe half dozen or so. The other thing to be aware of is counterfiet bank checks. When selling, try to get a deposit via paypal (yea the...

5 speed conversion...best money ever spent!

Will a V6 trans support the output of your car? I know the older I4 T5s in the fox bodies had smaller input shafts and lower torque ratings, but I'm not sure about the V6 models. Glad to hear the conversion went well, I used to have a Boss302 with a cleveland in it and had a 4.10 and...

    I'm a Founding Member? What's this?

Ok, what's the difference between "official member" and just plain old "member". As for bouncing between the classic forums and 5.0 forums, heck that's what its all about... I've owned a mustang from almost every generation but the IIs.... hasn't every body? There is something to be said...
