Guys with BBK o/r H-pipe and MAC long tubes headers post here, please

From what I have heard, the BBK header exit flanges are a little closer together than mac headers, so the h-pipe won't work. That's why you have to buy a BBK specific h-pipe when you get BBK's headers. I have a BBK catted h-pipe sitting in my garage that it yet to be installed. If I remember...

    clutch quadrent

I jsut installed a King Cobra clutch with the stock cable and quadrant. I haven''t driven it yet, but the clutch throw feels fine...a little lighter that stock even, so it should be easier on the quadrant than the stock clutch was.

    ATF oil in T5? LOOK!!

It says in the owner's manual to use ATF. Synchromesh is a thicker gear oil.

    Good street/strip cams for a 5.0?

Which FMS alphabet cam has the gnarliest idle? Sounds like stupid criteria for selcting a cam, but I just about wet myself each year when I go to the Car Craft show in St.Paul each year and I hear all those cars with that "bu-bupitta Buptita" sound. :D

Do I really NEED my air-pump/tubing

hmmm...well...after a little forcing and swearing, I managed to ge the air tube back in place. My only problem now is that the rubber hoses will be toutching one of the header primary tubes...I'm affraid it will melt. If I have trouble with melting hoses I may just pull all of that crap...

Do I really NEED my air-pump/tubing

Well...I have the catted h-pipe. Will my cats even work then, or did I just waste an extra $200 by not getting the OR h-pipe? Vacuum lines? You mean those little wire looking things that plugged into the valves on the airline? What works good to plug them? Also...will leaving the hole...

    Exhaust Cutoffs?

I was looking at those QTP motorized cutouts a while back. I'm not sure how it would sound, since it is not a true flow diverter, but more of an flow bleed-off valve (i.e. some of your exhaust can still go through the exhaust system, so you don't get a true open headers sound.

Do I really NEED my air-pump/tubing

I can't seem to make the airline stuff fit back in after I installed my BBK longtubes (not to mention, the engine compartment looks cleaner with the stuff gone). Do I really need this stuff? If I just cap the line that goes into the back of the cylinder heads, and cap the line coming out of my...

Anyone have pics of tailpipes with 10,5" wheels (or 10"+)

Well...my catback started as a Flowmaster American Thunder system (with fairly crappy looking tips...I don't remember the model number, as it was 6 years ago). That wasn't loud enough (stock h-pipe and ex. manifolds at the time) to I had a shop cut out the mufflers and weld in straight pipes...

    Are ricers just born stupid??

That's funny. I own a 96 Neon (non-R/T) and it si a total joke. :rlaugh: My slow ass mostly stock 94 GT would make it look like it is standing still :rlaugh:

    Cobra front bumper ?

How much did that piece run you? I was thinking about getting a Cobra front facia since my stock ones needs a repain REAL bad (rock chips live crazy)...the only thing I am worried about are the Cobra (and others who are "in the know") guys calling me a poser.

 Never heard that definition before. Of course that means you are wrong. ;)

    Double clutching?!?!

Which causees you floorboards to fall out  :rlaugh:
  18. Scot_94GT

    Double clutching?!?!

It's when you shift into neutral and let the clutch out, then rev-match, then push the clutch in and shift into gear. VS. just rev-matching with the clutch pushed in. pretty pointless with modern synchromesh transmissions if you ask me...but hey, they do it in The Fast and the Furious :D

They're all just jealous because we have the better engine (5.0L vs. 4.6L) AND the better body (fox vs. sn95). :D
