    Lets see..... engine first out steam cleaned the engine bay (turn head or monitor sideways ;) ) a fresh painted engine that doesnt leak oil and I thought this was a funny one I dont have a car shop like yours (sweet setup btw), but I make do.

    the idiots that built my car put the OP though the hole for the speedo cable, and punched a hole out for the water temp. Oh well

    ok well I went around the engine compt. and cleaned and tightened the grounds, starter cable, and a few other misc things. I also put a new terminal on the neg. side of the battery because the old one was shot. I know my battery isnt so good, I just want to have everything else working right...

    hey 393bird, make sure you use a little flex pipe going from the muffler to that outlet.

    Ill check over the terminals and those small things, but Im gonna try not to buy new ones of those considering Im changing the setup fairly soon. I think Ill just go down to sears and get a die-hard battery. I know I should get an optima, but Im not sure that I really need that good a battery...

    no, the problem existed before that. I will probably be mounting my battery in the trunk in a few weeks, but first I want to get this deal straigtened out. I might just go with an optima battery and see if it helps.....If im correct, I want the yellow top optima right? Thanks for the...

    My car isnt holding a charge. The alternator is new, and the battery isnt new, but isnt old. Can anybody give me some tips on finding the problem?

    Ok someone straigten me out here. Is this NOT the 2v, 260 horse mustang gt engine? The 305 horse one is in the mach 1. If this was a mach 1, then I would believe those times, because yes, those engines wake up with gears. So what engine or car is this?

    well because its a 260 fwhp car, with longtubes as the only power adder. Its a crapshoot, but Im gonna guess about 240 to the wheels, tops. Unless If Im missing some kinda mods here?
