    No, I dont think so. Mine also had all of that stuff when I got it, now it's in a pile somewhere. A lot of people liked the look and did the cosmetics.

    Get some SPI epoxy and apply it with a roller or a brush, stay away from putting ANYTHING else on the bare metal. Epoxy, then seam sealer, then more epoxy after that dries. On the interior thats all you will need. On the exterior/bottom, well, thats all you will need.

    I have wondered what the difference would be if I took mine off and just did that and compared the ride to what I have now? Most of the time it's done during a total rebuild so you cant tell what the boxing does and what the other things enhanced.

    This ∆ Seriously, if the rust is so bad that you cant find a good weld point for a cart you may want to start with a proper fixture jig and build (Or buy) a new lower chassis for a foundation.

    I have used a small butane torch (un-lit of course) while the car is running, if the RPM shoots up while passing the torch over the various parts of the motor thats your leak. We use this method on the old V-twins a lot because it makes less mess than starting fluid.

    I have found that the sheet metal parts for these cars are downright cheap, its the install that can cost you if you cant DIY.

    I am going to bet that is not a real E-coat, could be anything. These look like MIG weld beads a bit.

    Buy a caster camber tool from summit and check everything first hand, it's not that hard and you will own those skills forever. Paying a shop to work on a vintage car will break the bank..
