    I'd go with AFR heads, but I live 30 min away from them. Id go bigger than the e-cam but also watch for piston/valve clearance.

    I agree. Im rebuilding an a4ld right now and its mickey mouse, even for a 2.3L. The front planetary completely failed. Not a durable trans at all.

    Mine didn't fit right, for the front. I don't remeber too well, but there was this hex fitting thing that was bracketed to the car and the hex was the wrong size. I had to have it machined smaller to fit.

    I measured the factory stack with calipers, and then assembled the new pack to equal the same thickness. The clutches weren't that worn down.

    Im happy with my ceramic coated Mac shorties and stainless o/r h-pipe. I thought a catback came with the pipes between the muffler and h-pipe. Maybe by midpipe, you mean h-pipe.

    Those V-6 trannies are actually mazda crap. Don't bother with it. Rebuild your existing t-5.

    I have straight cut cam gears on my Honda700, and its incredibly loud. But im glad theyre there( redline at 12K) so I never have to change a chain. I think the sound is from the friction from the contact area of the teeth.

    Since the chain and gear setup is so durable, I see no reason to go with the gears. Plus, you'd have to deal with the noise.
