    i am going with a new randalls rack, which needs outer ties anyway. Then going with TCP coilovers, the 69 spidles look like they should work just fine plus i'll save a ton. The willwoods are around 1500! mike

    i do have the original 70 disk spindles. Was thinking i could save a little cash and go with late model brakes....assuming they are as good as the willwood bolt on for disk spindles. Probably stupid to go this way over a few hundred bucks on a 30K restomod?

    2005+ mustang steve brakes on a 69 stang

    i am thinking of the same swap on my 70 mach 1 with fact disk spindles. Not sure if later model brakes are as good as the willwood/baer/ssbc aftermarket brakes. Seems like the late model caliper swap is much cheaper....but it are they better brakes? Mike

    i have a 65 with 302 plus ac. Have flex-a-lite fan and c4 trans. New northern alum radiator. I run at 210 to 220 in the texas heat with ac. I thought this was high, but from reading around, sounds normal. mike

    motor mounts

    OK so if i get the mounts that lower the engine, does that affect the trans mount? will headers and the power rack still have room? My efi intake is about 1 inch too tall so i need to either mill that much off the top of intake or lower the engine, or both. MIke

    i just bought an eddlebrock performer intake with professional products lower intake. The upper intake is 5.75 from base to top flange of throttle body mount. About 6.25 to top of throttle body assembly. Have not installed on my 351w yet, but hope it all fits under my 70 hood. mike

    I figured the traction lock woudl be fine. Looking at the original axles, i have some surface rust on them. I am betting installing new bearings will be tough over the slightly enlarged axle due to the surface rust. Might try removing some of the rust first to see if bearing will fit. Car is...

    convertible subframe connectors

    i installed maier racing subs in my 65 convertible after i completed the resto. Made a huge difference. My headers hang down the same amount at the sub frames...so clearance was not compromised. Well worth the time to install. Mike
