    I don't know about the C6, but I read that the numbers on the new Z06 are 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds while still in first gear. I'd love to see it lined up next to the 911turbo. would be a fun race to watch.

    Do you think the GT500 could give the 911 a run for its money? I'm pretty sure the new Vette Z06 could. In the end, I'd still prefer a stang over the 911 or the vette. As fun as a porsche would be to drive, I can barely fit in it.

    I drive a piece of crap 1996 VW Jetta during the winter months (October to April). I don't drive my stang much during the week as I live in downtown Toronto and walk to work. I figure I'll put about 10,000-12,000km/year on the stang.

    I got the extended warranty for $900 Canadian on X-plan pricing: 6 years/80,000kms (no chance I drive that much in the next 6 years). I kind of regret it now because I don't want to wait six years to make mods to the car. In hindsight, I should've stuck with the 3 year factory warranty...

    I was under the impression that the last 05's would be built in July. However, if you ordered an 05 and actually were given a build date, I'd presume that's what you're getting because as I understand it 06's can't actually be ordered yet.     The mechanical quality score doesn't surprise given the various TSB's out on this car. Nonetheless, the issues are relatively minor and easily resolved. I've had my gas tank and shaker replaced, but I'd still buy this car if I had to do it all over again.

    Good call - when I read the post, I thought you were referring to the windshield as "the front". I doubt that it would be illegal to tint the side windows (no matter where you live).
