    Who is Procomp?

I bought a ProComp 6AL MSD imitation and never installed it. When I opened the box the first thing I noticed was how cheap it looked...I mean honestly, it looked like it should have been sold in Toys R Us. It has something rattling inside the box, so I opened it up to find a screw floating...

    150 shot and 93 octane?

I would first try a different timing light, then examine your balancer for any rubber squeezing out.

How to lower a door window with the door off the car?

Yea, that's actually much easier. Sometimes it's the simple ideas that fly right past me.

    150 shot and 93 octane?

Dry or wet shot? Are you using a stock balancer? It might have spun, throwing off your timing marks.

    what spring compressor?

Personally I hate internal compressors, I find they are a PITA to get in and out. They make some external ones that should work for you. Also, instead of using the jack to raise the arm, try raising the car, putting a solid support (jack stand) under the arm, and lowering the car SLOWLY with...

    what oil to use??

Mercon tranny fluid. Most companies replaced Dextron with Mercon, as Mercon will work in anything that was originally designed for Dextron. Personally I use 15w40 diesel oil.

How to lower a door window with the door off the car?

Do you have your door panel removed? You can just loosen the three motor bolts and release the motor from the regulator gear and slide the window up and down by hand. Or just remove the motor all together, that is how I would do it.

    Is it possible???

Front two peices? I have only used OEM gaskets, so maybe I am missing something.

    99 spindles

The 96+ spindles work, but the problem is the tie rod ends are too short. So you need to center them, and still you won't have much left. You end up screwing your outer tie rod ends out so far to meet the spindle, that you don't have much of the threaded part of the inner going through the...

Why would you take pictures here!?

I think it was an accident. "Oh crap, I drove into a lake....what should I do now?" "Um....grab your camera. We will say we meant to do it....yea, that works."

    BEST TUNER FOR 88?

Tweecer R/T, with a Wide Band O2. For starters, just the basic starter changes will help you learn, are easy to do, and will help with the driveability of your setup. As you learn you can take advantage of all the things you can change. The thing I LOVE about the Tweecer is that I can...

so you guys are gonna kill me... (pics)

Nice truck, I always loved those. Fun project, if a lot of it has already been converted, it should be much easier to work on. I think you will have a lot of fun with it.

    to all the haters:

Do you have any pics showing the entire car with the rear springs not changed yet? What kind of springs did you have in there that made it sit so high?

First 1/4 mile run - disappointed

I still think that with slicks, and beating the hell out of it, you should see low 13s with no problem. I have stock E7 heads that I gasket matched and an e-cam, and I run 13.1. I would think that GT40Ps would be better than gasket matched E7s any day. I ran with 15* timing and saw 13.2s...

First 1/4 mile run - disappointed

You want good numbers? Then get some slicks....IF you have subframe connectors. First order of business, get some full length subframe connectors, either MM or Steeda. Then get some slicks. Heat them up, hold at 5k at the line, drop the hammer. You should see low 13s with what you have...

    Wiring a trunk mounted battery

I did it to clean up the engine bay. I am about to wire up my fan to work on two speeds, one for cooling one for AC. With the need for a 3 relay holder, and getting my MSD in a better spot, I moved my battery. Plus the weight transfer is an added bonus.

    Wiring a trunk mounted battery

Same here, I ran the cable under the rear seat and drilled a hole on the rear, drivers, floor board just on the inside of the subframe connector, ran it along the inside of the connector, up the inner fender, to the solenoid.

Pic of lifters...can someone look at this?

When I did my heads, I wiped out all coolant in the cylinder walls, and sprayed brake clean from the front of the valley to the back where the hole is, so everything was washed into the oil pan. After I put everything together, I poured in two quarts of oil into the engine, then drained the...
