Help me out: tire size question

It might be a close fit, as the stock tire size on 2000 V6 is 205/65. It depends mainly on the width of the rim. You would also need to get your speedo redone to reflect the different speeds from the different size tire.

    CAI fenderwell?

It won't. There's a plastic piece that covers the underside of the fenderwell inside the wheel well. Any splashing that will happen will be in the wheel well, and it is covered.

    warranty and pulleys

Any aftermarket piece, (usually) unless installed by a professional, will void warranty. I still have my stock intake and exhaust ready to put back on if I need warranty service.

    Possible HP Loss on CAI?

In theory, no. There is less restriction on the air flow from the air filter to the engine, which means you should actually gain power, and get better gas mileage.

    Exhaust choices

I think the best you'll ever get to what you want would probably be from Flowmasters.

    Ebay CAI Seriously?

When someone asks what brand we can say that we have Mac CAI, not "Dunno, bought it from Ebay". That's about the only difference, oh, and about $90. ;) Doesn't matter to me, it's all performance anyways. I just have a good paying job so I preferred to get brand name.

If the V6 is so great...

Why do you come to a V6 forum knowingly and start insulting everyone? That'd be like me going to your house and start insulting you and your family. Do I do that? No, because I have manners. There is no reason we need to prove anything to you. You chose to buy your car, just the same way...

V8's are better than V6's (Right?)

I still don't see why the GT is supposedly so much better than V6, other than sound. A stock GT will run high 13's 1/4 mile. A stock V6 will run mid 14's 1/4 mile. Half a second isn't that much, especially given the fact that not many people buy their car just for dragging.

    My Problem With V8s

Easiest solution, except it only works in a manual. 1. Cobra proceeds to tailgate. 2. You shove clutch in, throw into reverse so the reverse lights come on. 3. You give brakes a good shove (but only briefly), not enough to skid, but enough to stop quickly had you needed to. 4. Cobra slams...

Flowmaster has a V6 kit, so does Mac, Magnaflow, and quite a few others. Go to Partshopper and check out some of them.

    Advantages of the V6

With my stock setup I stayed with a '98 GT from about a 20mph roll. Had we been at a stop, he would've taken me from more torque. There's not much you can do in the way if "inexpensive" mods to get to the HP level of a newer GT, though the smaller gains you get from those mods coupled with...

    Dual Exhaust

A catback should be a driveway job by anyone. If you know how to use a ratchet then you can install a catback exhaust. That's my thoughts, and there's no way I'm paying someone money to do something that I can do for free for myself.

    Dual Exhaust

The Mac exhaust kit has 2.5" pipes. I think it looks great (from the pics I've seen). I just wish mine would hurry up and ship already. Partshopper had to backorder them from Mac, and it's taking forever (3 weeks already. Friday will be 4 weeks). I'm getting really anxious.

    CIA help please!

Is there a vac line plug drilled on the underside of the upper pipe? Mine has one underneath it and it fits perfectly so you can't see the vac line coming from the engine into the pipe. I also got a plastic plug for the extra drilled hole. I put some silicon sealant glue when I put it on so...
