how does your car run at top end with 3.73 gears??

Ha! 4.10s definitely pull harder above a 100 mph than 3.27s. Unless I have some special magical 4.10s.

These Dyno Numbers Are Making Me Mad

    car slower with 4.10's & nitto's

I don't know why some people think that 4.10s hurt you on the highway or on the top end. They don't hurt you at higher speeds at all, a 4.10 geared car should beat a 3.27 geared car at any speed, the worst beating being from a stop. I don't care if you start from a stop, 15, 50, 70 or 90 mph...

To Mod or Not to Mod???

3.55s to 3.90s won't be worth the money, there just won't be that big of a difference. If you get a Mach go with 4.30s at least. It will be an animal with 4.30s.

    have a 98gt but drove 2 new gt's now i want one

Just do the headswap and your car will run just as strong.

tach / engine speed hanging at +1,500 RPM's

Yes, you can use ether (starter fluid) to help find a vacuum leak. Spray the ether wherever you think the leak might be with the engine running and if the engine starts revving up you have a leak. If you just had a MIL it would make diagnosing the problem much easier.

tach / engine speed hanging at +1,500 RPM's

Sounds like a vacuum leak to me. You might want to make sure the plenum gasket is seated right, it's tightened down enough and all the vacuum lines are connected and so on.

    2001 GT vs. 2001 Cobra...

Those Mach's with the mid pipes, mufflers and Nittos should be 12 second cars with a decent driver. Unless they are crappy drivers (which very well might be the case) they will beat you. Mach's are strong runners.

    Prochamber vs H vs X

Certain X pipes really do sound like **** with Flowmaster while other X pipes sound awesome. I know that a VRS off road X pipe (cheap too) sounds tough with Flows, and the Dr. Gas X ($$) sounds really good too, but I don't like how Bassani's X sound with Flows. An o/r H sounds the toughest...

    Magnaflow vs. Flowmaster

 Mufflers do not give you "gobs" of performance on a Mustang. I have never seen any evidence that straight through mufflers make any more power than a chambered muffler on a Mustang. In fact, I know of one guy who made LESS rwhp with a Magnaflow catback than a Flowmaster...

    2001 GT vs. 2001 Cobra...

I thought I remembered them saying they didn't do anything to it. As in the stock paper air filter was in place and spare in the trunk.

    2001 GT vs. 2001 Cobra...

I wasn't arguing anything other than ET's between a '99+ GT and a '99 - '01 Cobra. It has nothing to do with me liking one car over the other, and my position would be exactly the same if I was behind the wheel of an '01 Cobra. Numbers are numbers, emotion isn't coming into play for me...

    2001 GT vs. 2001 Cobra...

What does a Bullitt say on the fender? It says GT. If you won't accept Bullit times, ok. I've read about stock GT's with drag radials running 13.50s, I think it was J. Monahagen over on the Corral in his GT. Also read about some kid who ran 13.51 in his stock '01 GT in one of the mags, I...

    2001 GT vs. 2001 Cobra...

The Cobra in the Bullitt/Mach/Cobra comparo also had a new '01 Cobra engine. Yea, yea, the Cobra is harder to drive with the IRS and the lack of low end torque/gear, but that's part of the reason why the AREN'T so much faster, ET wise, than a GT. I'm not denying the 4 valves superior...

    2001 GT vs. 2001 Cobra...

I knew that was coming. Bullitts ARE actually GT's. It was considered a GT appearance package by Ford, go buy a Bullitt specific part from Ford and you'll see. I did the Bullitt intake swap so I had to buy a crapload of Bullitt specific parts from Ford. Back to the point, Bullitts...

    2001 GT vs. 2001 Cobra...

The guy was either running in great air or he has a freak. Still, Cobra's aren't 6 - 8 tenths faster than a 1999-up GT. You can find great times for Cobras running low 13s, and I can bring up stock Bullitts running 13.50s and have heard about Bullitts with nothing other than Nittos running...

    2001 GT vs. 2001 Cobra...

I don't agree with you. I've seen plenty GT's run 14.5s at the track but I've also seen '99-'01 Cobras solidly in the 14s as well. Bad drivers in both cases. The '99 - '01 Cobras are by no means 6 - 8 tenths quicker in the 1/4 than a '99+ GT, sorry, that's just not the case nor will it ever...

Would I be able to hang with stock 99-up GT?

The 5.0s (except the '94-'95) with bolt ons make more power than '96-'98 4.6s with bolt ons. It's not that hard to get a bolt on 5.0 to 230 rwhp, it's pretty damn difficult to get a bolt on '96-'98 to 230 rwhp. Your talking cam and/or intake swaps plus bolt ons to get the '96-'98 to 230.
