Need a price check (advice) on an '88 vert

The project part doesn't bother me, I'm looking for a daily driver to tinker with. I was considering offering about 900 to begin with and going from there. Even if I put a grand in it, it would still be an over all cheap driver. Is a top something that can be put on at home, or does it take pro?

Need a price check (advice) on an '88 vert

Hey folks, I've driven my '66 for the last 12 years and I'm ready for something a "little" newer and easier on gas. I came across an '88 vert with about 80,000 mi. I just had a quick look over, but haven't driven it yet. All I know is that the body is very straight with only minor chips and...

    Help ID this carb ASAP!

I think I remember seeing 1.14 stamped there in a little circle. Anyway to tell the year before I by a kit (don't want to get the wrong float stuff). I can't afford a new carb, and the car has to be moving by Thursday.

Are the rebuild kits the same for these? Like a universal type thing?

    Help ID this carb ASAP!

I'm not sure what brand it is. I've had it on there since I bought the car in '94. But now that I need to know, I might as well have found somewhere.

    Help ID this carb ASAP!

I need to move my '66 as soon as possible. I need to rebuild the carb but I'm not sure which one it is. It's a 2bbl on a 289. The VIN says it should have the "K" code 289. It's obvious it's not the hipo anymore :( , but I have no way of knowing what it was swapped with. I can't find a tag...

    Alignment shop

I bought a caster/camber tool and some shims from a circle track place, used a tape measure for the toe, and I haven't had a problem :nice: I only did this of course after going through the exact same experience you did. :nonono:

    Granada Swap Idea...I'm I wrong?

Don't forget about the different tie-rod sizes. Mine came from a '78 Granada. I've never had any suspension issues either.

    Shims

Got mine from Speedway Motors, along with a camber guage. It's actually better now than after the last alignment shop had it. :nice:
