    Electrical Halogen Headlights

I've been running halogen 7" sealed beams in my 66 for many years, with no problems. Nice and bright, too. It helps if your wiring is in good condition, and I like to keep the connectors pristine with a little silicone grease in them. Some people like to use a 69 headlight switch to add a little...

How Much Torque Can A 70 Coupe Handle

Well, the 70 hardtop could be ordered with the 428 Super Cobra Jet with the Drag Pac. You planning more torque than that?

    Hurst Shifter

All 65-73 Mustangs use the same Competition Plus model.

    Hurst Shifter

Considering the SS has straight rods (excellent for racing) the entire shifter is offset nearly 4" to the left. I don't think I'd call nearly doubling the size of the hole "a little".

    Hurst Shifter

The Competition Plus™ is the bolt-in model. Ford even used a version of the CP at the factory in 70-73. The Super Shifter™ will require a massive hole in the floor. Consider that for racing-only vehicles.

    Extra H-pipe On Exhaust

Hmmm… I have a manual trans because I prefer more direct control. If I wanted mufflers that could be loud or quiet, I'd get these, selected for loud or quiet using a switch under the dash-

Looking To Upgrade Drive Train On 66 Coupe.?

    Electric Fan

Well, before you add a complex electric fan system to your car, what fan do you have? I'm running a stock 7-blade thermal clutch fan in my 66, which was adequate for a 289HP engine with AC in south Florida summers. A clutch fan and shroud could be installed in under an hour with no wiring or...

    Toploader 4 Speed Synchro Rings

You'll see two versions of the trans kit generally available, identical except one has these rings, the other does not. The kit without is for people who are replacing the synchronizer assemblies, which include the rings. No one should attempt to recondition a transmission without replacing the...

Engine Harmonic Balancer And Distrubutor Tuning

The stock advance was adjusted at the factory by using the appropriate spring, center spacer, and washers inside. When the advance goes bad, you swap all the internal parts to the new unit, and it's already adjusted.

    1965/66 Fastback Skeletons

IIRC, California requires a receipt for every part of such a constructed vehicle. I figure that would be as hard to collect as building the car. Imagine getting a useable receipt from every vendor you bought from a flea market. You'd have to do it, too. California has so many government clerks...

    1965/66 Fastback Skeletons

No. Unique's main problem was taking $150,000 payments and then two years later had not delivered the cars. Compounding this was they were using convicts to do prep work, and one of the things they did to prep the bodies was remove the legitimate original VINs. This is a no-no in virtually...

    Door Skin.....

Replacing the corner is a time-honored professional technique. If the rest of the skin is intact, you'll end up with less work, and a more original door.

Looking To Upgrade Drive Train On 66 Coupe.?

Since I've never had the slightest difficulty with the stock linkage (T5 equipped or otherwise), I just don't see the advantage of changing over, especially sine he already has the stack linkage. I'm just not into the work and expense of replacing something that's not broken. And I've seen...

Engine Harmonic Balancer And Distrubutor Tuning

When I searched for spring and vac. advance kits for a Ford 302 on summit, there was only 1 spring kit that showed up and it only came with 2 springs. You don't need springs. And there was 3 or 4 vac advance that showed up and only 1 was listed as adjustable... The stock advance, if you still...

Engine Harmonic Balancer And Distrubutor Tuning

If you want a stock balancer, buy one. They are identical to the original, and inexpensive. I have never seen an aftermarket replacement style vacuum advance that was NOT adjustable. They are adjusted by sticking a small Allen wrench into the hose nipple. The centrifugal curve is adjusted by...

Looking To Upgrade Drive Train On 66 Coupe.?

I disagree on the clutch conversion. The OEM setup works perfectly with the T5. I have driven the T5 with OEM linkage, driven it very hard, and it works flawlessly. Since you already have that system, I just saved you a lotta work and more than a few bucks.
