    Jegs Timing Pointer Screwed Up?!

If the balancer is not on "0" when the engine is at TDC, either the pointer is screwed, or the balancer has slipped. Make sure you are at TDC. You have a FEW degrees when the piston does not move, called top rock position. Turning it very SLOW and note where the piston just stops moving...

    Trans cooler line routing problem

Yes, it has all rubber lines from the trans to the coolers, I didn't know what I was going to end up with for coolers, so did it with rubber lines. It has worked fine so far. I had to add a second cooler to keep the temp where I want it with the 3,500 stall speed. If no more changes, I will go...

    Trans cooler line routing problem

I routed mine behind the trans dipstick tube, then over the starter, droped down from there to the front. I am running two 24,000 gvw B&M coolers.

    loud deep exhaust ?'s....

The Bullets with a H pipe and no cats sounds great. It is a little loud if a daily driver. I got them for there great flow and very light weight, the great sound was an added benefit. This is a weekend only car, so being a little loud is not a problem. With tails, they would be fine on a daily...

    timing a stroker?

The main factor affecting ignition timing is the head design and what they are made of. Most Ford engines with aluminum heads do best between 32-35 degrees total, while non aluminum do best with 34-38

    Spark plug gap question

You want the gap as wide as you can, and still be able to jump the gap. The higher the compression, the closer they will need to be. If running any type of turbo/supercharger, they will need to be gapped closer also. The higher the out put of the coil, the wider you can run the gap. I am...

Loud exhaust and getting pulled over for it

It sounds better than I thought it would. I got them mainly because of there small size, lite weight, and very low loss. The car is being built as a weekend play toy, so a little loud is fine. I was very pleased to not have any of the popping that you hear from most of the mufflers this size. My...

Loud exhaust and getting pulled over for it

I am running Off Road H pipe, and Dynomax Race Bullets with no tailpipes. I have been pulled over 2 times, but both times they just wanted to know what I was running. I try to take it easy in town, and hope my luck continues.

Help! AOD going bad, what to do now??

It all depends on how it is used, and amount of highway use. I have a full built AOD in my Bird, but now see it does not see much highway use. If doing it again, would of used a lighter, smaller, more efficient, cheaper C4.

What do ya think of my project tbird ??

Very Nice! I am glad to see this. I need to drop about 100 Lbs more from my 93 Bird, then will remove the P/S, and install a manual rack. Part of this is to give me room on the drivers side for either a Turbo, of Procharger. I will follow yous closely, since not many on that side. Here is...

Installed U/D pulleys, Runs Hott!! suggestions??

I am running a 393 stroker with under drive pulleys, and a 3500 RPM stall speed converter on the street. It has NEVER gone over 180 degrees. I am using (2) 24,000 GVW transmission coolers mounted in front of the radiator, so the heat from them is dumped into the radiator also. I am using a 160...

    Radiators and temps

If you read a add about the Black Majic fan, they say that there 2800 cfm fan is good to cool a 225 HP engine. I would guess they know more about cooling needs than most. If yours is 2200 cfm, and the HP is above 200, I would guess your new fan is too small. If it runs cool at highway speeds...
