    Body Sanding

Yea, kind of a poor man's way, but effective. You don't have to rush out and buy a compressor and a DA and body file and the like. You do need some sort of good eye though. Being **** eyed won't work. :D :nice:

    Body Sanding

Yes, a palm sander is fine. The key is to start with a coarser grade and go up in fineness. I would start with a 100 as 80 is too coarse and you will spend wasted time getting scratches out.

    Body Sanding

I used an orbital sander that I got at Home Depot. Also, a small sanding block. Don't use your hands except for fine, finish sanding. You'll never get it even. Is there any one supplier we can all trust?

    Hard starting

Since you didn't mention that it was slow turning over, I wont presume it is a dragging stater. More like a too rich choked condition, or poor tune. Check the condition of the plugs, points if you have them, carb idle mixture screws and it may be posible that you have a float problem.

Zoo is right. Stay away from laquer primer if you want rust protection. It is for spray today, paint tomorrow applications.

    Those of you with Pertronix

True, while the pink wire has a history of going bad, the results are the exact oposite. It doesn't do much in the way of resisting, it lets MORE voltage through.

I won't ramble, but just say that the clear thingy is a spacer to be used to get the proper gap. Use it, then throw it away.

What do the girls think AFTER you give them a ride?

Perhaps, classic car "groopies" are better suited for entertainment than for long term relationships. Girls who are easily impressed by ANYTHING mechanical have shall we say a shallow mind and probably are blonds. :rlaugh:
