    I wouldn't go too cheap on the torque wrench...after all you only need it once. Get the clicker type. I got a Kobalt at Lowes for $50-70...can't remember, but it is great...goes 10-100 lbft or whatever it is. I torque to 13 just like the bullittarchive(about 1/16th turn after hand tight)...

    Does not sound like a front end issue. I don't know of any front end issue with mustangs. Eventually the tie rods go bad, but over 100k. Maybe U joints, but you can check those yourself. Not sure about tranny mounts, but I think you can check all of that and make sure they are tight...

    Got it in May of 99 with 5 miles and still runs great 7 years later with 105k. Will probably keep it until it falls apart.

    When I took my rear seat out I found something interesting. There was an extra door latch laying in there...the little black thing inside your door jam that holds the door shut. Guess ford left it as a surprise.

    Definately do not max the fuel to the lean side...that is crazy not knowing where you are at. If you leave the fuel as-is and max the timing you will be fine.

    You might want to give UPR customer service a ring before you do that. I guess they could go the other way as long as nothing is hitting. I'd see what they say first.

    I actually had the same question when I put mine on, but I think it made more sense the second way. That is how mine are on...with the little crossover piece on the top.

    Go with the K&N drop in if you want to save money. You'd be much better off spending money elsewhere. HP difference is not the issue as the stock intake really isn't bad. If you had a 4v then you would see more gains, but you don't. If you just want to spend money and get some better looks...

    I'm pretty sure mine does the same thing and I have done these same crazy things to listen. I found that if I get down under the car while running i hear it coming from the oil pan/engine area. It has done that for as long as I remember and no problems. I have 103k.
