    Tranny Flush...

Tremec recommends Mercon spec for the T-45, so I use plain ole' motorcraft mercron @ $2-3 per quart. However, you can also use GM Syncromesh, but this is overkill for the T-45. However, if you want to spend $11 per quart for 4 quarts then you should get the syncromesh. I am cheap so I didn't...

Magnaflow vs. MAC vs. stock cat back

Put that thing on...what are you waiting for? Sorry, I don't have any sound clips. The mid-pipe will make your car alot louder and will turn more heads, but nothing ridiculous. Its hard to explain but it will sound more open and airy...whatever that means. Eventually you will even get used...

Magnaflow vs. MAC vs. stock cat back

I vote MAC just because I have it and really liked the sound with the stock mid-pipe. Very nice take off note and not ridiculously loud, but most aren't with the stock mid-pipe. It will drone around 1800-2300 rpm, but I don't have a problem with that. I now have the prochamber mid-pipe and my...

    Crank Pully removal

It should come right off with the puller. After I took the factory bolt out, I think I put the longer steeda bolt in there for the puller to push against. If you don't have a bolt in there and are just pushing against the washer then it won't come out. Also don't screw the bolt all the way in...

    Custom Predator tune installed

I have a 99 GT and I felt the same about the Predator tune...in that it felt quicker down low but not up top. I just felt like my "Factory Tune" with the timing maxed felt stronger than the predator canned tune at WOT. Granted the predator tune feels a little quicker around town because the...

    New shifter. ?'s

I would just change the shifter. You can worry about the fluid later as it will last a long time. If you really want new fluid I'd probably get some GM Syncromesh, but it is about $11 per quart and I think you need 4. I chose the stock motorcraft fluid since it was alot cheaper and no...

My GOD the carbon,, 99GT,,intake swap,,Damn EGR PLEASE READ!

I have always wondered if turning the EGR off with the predator tuner really turns it off? Due to much debate I decided to leave mine on, but I am still curious. From what I understand, the EGR has no purpose during WOT or idle when it is functioning, so I don't see any real purpose of...

scraping the BBK, and installing the prochamber.what to expect?

With the adapter, you shouldn't need the NAPA studs. It fills in any gap due to the factory studs not being threaded all the way. I also re-used the factory passenger side gasket and it works fine.

    Intake improvement question.

If you really want an intake make sure you get plastic like the Demolet or JLT. Otherwise, you are better off with the stock intake and K&N, which isn't bad as-is and removing silencer.

    T-45 leaking from vent/breather

I think we are comparing apples and oranges. I have a 99 with the T45...your 02 has a different transmission, 3650 I believe, so the plugs must be different. My fill plug is definately metal. Its just like the drain plug...just a little higher up and harder to get to. The black rubber thingy...

    T-45 leaking from vent/breather

I am not talking about the fill plug. The black bulb I am talking about is a vent or breather. The fill plug is metal and is just above the drain plug. The black rubber piece is at the very top of the tranny, which you can see from under the car or if you installed a shifter it is right...

    T-45 leaking from vent/breather

I have a 99 with 95k manual...no tranny problems. I went to the track for my first two times the last week and ran the car hard each time...10-12 times each. Both times I had tranny fluid coming out of the little black breather/vent or whatever it is up near the shifter. Not a ton, but enough...

    Yet another gas mileage ????

If you are driving all highway, then you should get 300 or more to a tank. That is ALL highway, though, at cruising speeds. If you are driving around town then you are about right on. I wouldn't worry unless you are highway driving and getting those results.

    Buying 99 Stang GT?

You are getting honda like gas mileage. I'm glad, but I don't know how you do it in the city. Maybe if by "city" you have alot of cruising in there and not stop and go.

    Buying 99 Stang GT?

MPG isn't bad compared to an SUV or truck. You will get 18-20 city and 24-28 highway. Now, that is if you drive it like your grandma. My throw-out bearing has squeaked in the summer almost since I've had my '99. It now has 100k and no problems. Slightly annoying, but probably better than...

    Steeda pulleys

Like he said it is easy with the right tools. You can take the alt to Advance to let them hit it with an impact wrench. I have a 99 and my crank pulley bolt was very hard to get off. Needed a piece of steel pipe to extend the ratchet and lots of torque. Put it in 5th gear...the crank...

99 GT Mach 460 acting up

I have a 99 GT with Mach 460 that has never had a problem since I bought it. I went to the track for the first time last weekend and on the way home my door speakers and rear subs stop working. So, all of my tweeters work, but no subs so I have a very high pitched system. They were working...
