    JLT RAI Kits

It can be ram air in a sense if you remove your front headlight. The S&B filter that comes with it has an opening in the front unlike the K&N which has a cone or something on the end of the filter. It sits right behind the passenger headlight.

Went from 3rd to 2nd on the highway.....

I did that once except I went into 1st when trying to hit 3rd and the back tires barked before I pushed the clutch in. Scared the hell out of me. Nothing seemed wrong, but I had to get some rear-end work done because of it...I think that was the reason...under warranty at the time. 5-6 years...

    Car keeps dieing at idle?

You can try with carb cleaner, but you are better off just getting a new one from autoparts store or from ford(more expensive). Easy to put on. Assuming that is the problem of course, but if he hasn't replaced it before he is due for a new one anyways.

    IAC...look it up yo.

    too much oil? :-0

Check after it sits overnight or at least a few hours. If its just right at the MAX line then you are fine. If over a little i wouldn't worry about it either, but not much.

    H-pipe

MAC makes a great exhaust for the price. I also hear if you have any problems they back their product well. I have no complaints with the prochamber and flowpaths that I have had for a year.

    Which Underdrive Pullies...???

If you search this forum you will find Steeda pullies are the way to go. I like mine. Do not get piggyback style. The steeda's replace the whole crank pulley for proper balancing.

    air intake temperature

When I'm driving at a decent speed say 50-60 mph the IAT gets to somewhere within 10 degrees of the outside air temp... usually pretty darn close to it actually. When sitting...it will heat up over 100. Just make sure that when moving it gets somewhere close to outside temp...otherwise your...

    sepentine belt woes

Hmmm. I would look at my pulleys real good while running and make sure they do not look off at all(wobbling or anything). Also play with them all by hand with the belt off to make sure nothing is loose or off. Also make sure the tensioner is ok and the belt tension seems normal. As far as...

Stock timing as compared to the Diablo Tune

That sucks. You would have to ask diablo what the timing would be on your car with the diablo tune. Or if you know what the stock timing is(10 maybe) then you can ask them how much of a percentage they crank it up from the factory and figure it out. I'm purely guessing, but I think around...

Stock timing as compared to the Diablo Tune

Agreed. Just run the Factory HP Tune(your current tune before predator) and tweak out what you want. I run this tune with the timing maxed. I run 93 octane to be safe and I find this tune gives me the best performance.

will the predator tuner really help?

I think the predator is worth it even if you just run the factory HP tune(your factory tune) and max the timing on that. You can then use other features, too, such as recalibrating for gears, turning off O2 sensors and turning off traction control. You can also monitor and log information...

    FUEL System Cleaning?

Maybe they mean spraying in through the throttle body with something like seafoam to clean the plenum and intake. After 90k miles, my stock plenum was pretty nasty, but the throttle body just had some minor carbon buildup. Never cleaned it and it was still running great. Cleaned it with a new...

Synthetic oil in a high mileage motor ok?

I have 95k on my '99 and debated going to synthetic from castrol 5w30. However, I decided it wasn't worth the risk and I haven't had any problems so far. I will probably go to the Castrol High Mileage 5w30 at some point, but once again if it ain't broke then why mess with it?

    Stang wont idle

www.modulardepot.com Just create an account over there and look at the Ford Parts forum. You can send Randy Stinchcomb a private message asking him for a price on a new IAC. He pretty much sells at their cost instead of the normal markup. That is just where I get most of my parts.

    Stang wont idle

Replacing it fixed mine and I still think that is your problem. My car would randomly have the problem holding idle after starting and then finally got to the point where I had to keep pumping the gas at a stop. It would also occassionally die when coming to a stop after pushing the clutch in...

    Stang wont idle

I wouldn't touch the MAF until you try the IAC. I've never had a MAF problem at 95k miles. Search this forum on cleaning the IAC. You just take off the hose...two bolts...and you should see carbon buildup. You can spray carb cleaner in there and wipe it out.

    Stang wont idle

If it runs fine and just won't idle then IAC is your culprit most likely. I replaced mine around 80k. I would buy a new one and slap it on. You could take it off first and try cleaning it with carb cleaner just to make sure that is the problem.

    75W140 gear fluid, change?

Yeah. My '99 calls for 80w90 and also says that it never needs to be changed unless it is leaking or has been submerged in water. I think starting in '99 they stopped saying you needed to change it, but I thought 80w90 needed to be changed. Not sure here...

    U/D Pullies

I just put the steeda's on my '99 and have no complaints. I wouldn't go with any other brand, though. I believe they are just as "worth it" as any other bolt on mod. I was scared of them for a while, but I have friends that have run steeda's for 50k miles with no issues so I finally gave in...
