I was messing with my H pipe and the exhaust manifolt bolt attached to the flange kinda broke, I need to re-thread it, what size die do I need?
Im talking the ball and socket area. Im looking all over and cant find the size.
Well, I adjusted the rod, that made a pretty weak difference, rebled the master cylinder, then bled each wheel. I can live with the performance, but the braking doesnt really start until half stroke down. Once there, it stops pretty good.
So I recently replaced my MC and Brake booster. Car stops a little better, but the linkage is all out of whack. The car doesnt even start stopping until the pedal is almost to the floor. I messed with the little pin coming out of the booster a little bit, but im not sure if thats the proper way...
Oh excuse me, I was writing up this post early in the morning. I bought a replacement brake booster, not MC.
But all the lines look pretty good, ill take a look in about an hour to see If I cant find some leaks.
So a few months ago I installed a new MC to replace my vaccum leaking one. Everything worked pretty good for a few weeks. Now im losing brake fluid VEEERY slowly. Every 2 weeks or so my brake dummylight comes on.
What are the typical places to fail? The Master Cylinder looks fine, no real...
Well, the biggest part of passing emissions is having cats (in good working order), your smog pump doesnt even affect things that much.
Where is Northern CA are you?
