    I think the computer also adjusts fuel and timing when it moves the charge motion valves (not 100% sure) but if the computer thinks its still restricting air flow vice versa it could throw something off. I think its easier and safer to just get the option in your tune to disable the system...

    No, haven't got a powdercoating quote yet. I guess that would be my final solution if i can't find a spray type or sealant that would do the trick.
