    I was just about to post that, I was readin the 5.0 mag and it had a picture of a timing chain with the fuel pump essentric (sp). This was a full circle but it was in the same spot as where the part I am talking about is. Do you think I need to install it back on when I put the new timing chain...

    It was held on by the bolt that holds the cam gear to the cam. I took that bolt off then slide the timing chain off the crank snout. I haven't taken the thrust plate off yet. I'm not sure if that made any sense, hopefully it did tho. I just want to make sure if I need to keep it or not. Thanks...

    I have a question about the stock timing chain. I took the front cover off and on the bolt that holds the cam gear on there was a washer/L shaped bracket on it. I was wondering 1. what is was, 2. what does it do and 3. do I need to install it with my new timing chain. Thanks guys Nick

    Check around the plug wires, around the primaries of the headers and oil dipstick. I had from how you described-a similar problem. Ended up being the plug boot next to the oil dipstick. It was arcing before getting to the spark plug. You can try going outside at night when its pitch black...
