    Tips & Tricks

On the 99-04 Mustangs, the gas pedal sits alittle farther back than some people like, so full throttle is with the pedal being pressed into the floor pretty much, but you still go wide open throttle because the flow of air is the same. People will add a 1/2 inch nylon spacer to the back of the...

Why get a V6 over a GT? doesnt make sense....

I think you get a V6 over a GT so you can have forums with old ass posts that get brought up because there isn't much else going on.

    Performance Cam

http://www.supersixmotorsports.com/ http://www.moranav6racing.com/ http://rpm-mustangs.com/cart/home.php They all have cams and can help you choose the specs for the cam to match your goals and plans for the car. Just the cam alone can usually get a good 10-15hp, possibly 20 if you do new...

    how to increase horse power

SCT and Diablo are the best 2 chips/tuner devices for our cars. I haven't really heard much about Hypertech, but most people go with the other 2.

This has to be a joke.

He's gotta have a WHOLE 100rwhp with that setup man, watch out. Might be able to beat a civic. Anybody got a rocket launcher or a trebuchet, a sledge hammer might work too. I wonder if those are the "hood pins" that are held on by the "racing division of 3M"

    true dual....video

Sounding good :nice: Kinda what my take offs sound like, and the rumble at 900rpms is so nice considering for the little I pay for my car. Cept I got cats, so mine are probably quieter.

    Header question..

http://rpmoutlet.com/musv6bbkh.htm is the only site I have found them on, but they are still cheaper than JBA headers.

"Ricer" writes a letter to Car Craft...must read

That is so true. I still remember this one show had this 30 year old moron who bought a civic, lived with his mother so he could spend his $30,000 over a few years on his civic. It ran amazingly fast....12's. A stock 03/04 Cobra can break 12's. I have fun with the ones who will upgrade the fuel...

    Header question..

That's just headers for ya. Normal JBA headers are like $400, coated ones close to $600. BBK headers are like $300 with coated around $400. As far as putting shorties on a 94-04 V6, it won't change the sound because they already come with shorty headers, aftermarket ones are just alittle bigger...

    cold air intake

Well, you figure on the 99-01 models (I have a 2000), the hole is plugged by a sensor. For the 02-04 years, that sensor was included with the MAF to simplify things, but this leaves that sensor hole open. Leaving a hole past the MAF is always a bad idea because the engine will pull the air in...

    Choosing a UDP

They all are pretty much the same. They are all made of a metallic material that is pretty tough, I've held a few different brands when I was at a shop one day. VMP does sell the UDP and belt only without the 18% OD, I'm just getting that one because Automatic with a stereo require a bit more...

Petition to stop ford!!! *Please Sign*

I so signed that in the 300's  but in reality, from a business standpoint, I understand wanting people to drop the Mustang name to a degree (Mustang Vintage/Classic Parts and ect they had an agreement that was fine 10 years ago), but to go off and DEMAND DAMAGES? no, that I completely...

    Question

99-04 V6s dyno at around 155rwhp for autos, 165-170rwhp for manuals. 96-98 V6's dyno around 130 for manuals, 120-125 for autos, and 94-95 are like 125 manual, 115 auto. You can do just about anything, supercharge, turbocharge, port and polished heads and intake sets, cams, headers, dual exhaust...

    cold air intake

Check if the local autoparts store has a rubber grommet that would fit and cover the hole, or if they don't, someone has used the valve cap from a bicycle tire, put it over the hole and used a slicone sealant to keep it there. He hasn't reported any problems with his fix either.

    Choosing a UDP

I haven't heard any bad on any pulleys. Just make sure it is a 25% UD, because I know MotoBlue sells a 42% UD pulley which is just too much.

    cold air intake

Plugging it is not bad. By leaving the hole open, the engine starts to pull in air that is not measured which makes you run very lean. Leaning out a car leads to pre-detonation which is damaging to the engine, a bad detonation could lead to a rod going through the oil pan. Not to mention if a...

    Choosing a UDP

For one, you need to find out which 2000 type pulley you have. Look at the balancer, if it is completely flat all around, its the 01-04 series with internal balancing. If there is a spot that comes out a bit, it is the 99-00 series with external balancing...

    v6 headers

JBA, BBK and MAC make shorties, and MAC makes long tubes. LTs will give a slight increase in power and change in sound. As far as if headers for the SN95 V6s would fit on a Fox V6, I couldn't say. The 94-97, 98, and 99-04 all have slightly different headers as far as the EGR placement and some...

    A few dual exhaust questions....

I hear people who vouch for both flows and magnas. For budget, stock GT/Mach I mufflers have sufficed for me. But a lot of people say chambered (Flowmaster or Force mufflers from www.summitracing.com Force mufflers are a lot cheaper flowmasters basically ) is the way to go on our V6 for a deep...

    cold air intake

well, it's the 99-04 series CAI, so it just comes with the IAT hole, it's just your 2003 does not have the IAT sensor to go there. "But even in the 99+ years, there were changes to the design of the stock induction system. 99-01 V6 Mustangs have a seperate sensor for temputure, thus...
