    ^ Since mid pipes are so common these days it is sometimes easy to forget that dual exhaust existed for a long time without any sort of balance tube/crossover.

    I run the pypes stainless X and I've been very happy with it, I've had flows (chambered), then pypes (straight through), now Spintech (Spiral/chambered) and by far I enjoy the sound of the x pipe/spintech setup.

    You can certainly replace it with the seat in place, I did it this way. It was awkward figuring out how to get my 6'-1" frame wrangled into a good position but once you figure it out you should be OK. The lift will help if you are swapping the cable again, otherwise you won't need it.

    So the FRPP T56 comes with a 10 spline input? I would probably upgrade to 26 spline after investing that much into the whole setup personally.

    You've mentioned the big ones, other than that if it's a nice running motor you solve any of the oil consumption issues with the current motor you've got in the car (hopefully) for not too much money (I've seen complete explorer gt40 setups for well under $1k with all accessories still attached...

    I was going to ask why a short block, is there something wrong with the stock setup that is in the car? If not I'd scratch that and focus on quality matching heads/intake/cam instead.

    I'd recommend 3.55 gears if you plan on driving it on the street mostly, definitely full exhaust and subframe connectors.

    I wouldn't mount it on the dash either unless it's a legit race car, never looks good in my opinion. The gauge cluster myslo50 is referring to is the florida5.0 or MC-Machine gauge cluster conversions, pricey but very nice.

    Nice choice on sticking with calypso! That 2 tone car posted does not look good IMO, the bottom color is reef blue.
