xoxbxfx,
Are you saying that you had a plastic fuel cell mounted inside the trunk area with only the sump hanging below?
Did your plastic cell have a bladder inside?
Nasa,
I shared some CAD data with a couple of members on here that included S197 ('05 on up) front brake components. http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=652186
The rotors are thicker than earlier years at 30mm and are offset a couple of mm's futher inboard (less caliper bracket...
Is anyone running EFI AND a fuel cell in a classic Mustang?
I'm converting my '65 coupe over to EFI. I want to install a fuel cell for road racing. Not really interested in a header tank.
What are you guys using? Pictures of your setups?
Thanks in advance,
Ultra,
I have a couple emails from you at home. Will respond to them this evening.
CD will go out tomorrow.
I've sent you a couple PM's, but haven't heard back from you. Let me know if you would please.
Thanks,
Cobra - Only if the fabricated brackets make up the difference in rotor diameter.
2005 - Guessing you meant GT. Depends on how you adapt them to the spindle. These are hat rotors. The Granada ones being discussed above have the hubs built into the rotor.
This depends on what rotor you plan to use. The V6/GT and Cobra all use the same spindle on SN95. Meaning, all three calipers mount in the exact same spot. The individual stock factory caliper bracket is what spaces the caliper further away from the hub centerline between V6/GT or Cobra...
Your car is a '65, yes? What year will it be after the mods you listed? I believe that is what all states look at when determining if the vehicle qualifies for historic status or not.
Will do. Need some batteries at the moment.
Drivers side is the tight one. I had to dimple one tube slightly at the steering box. Shock towers are not an issue at all.
I did get the later mounts, but I was doing the 6->8 swap, and had the headers first.
I paid less than $300 for my JBA's, but they're nickel. Not ceramic.
Tom,
Not sure what you mean about the cable traveling further forward before turning down or what impact that has on function. Mine drops just aft of the shock tower. It's a mile from the headers.
SOLD - MK7 Rear Disc Swap Parts
I have a complete set of rear disc brake parts from a late '80's Lincoln Mark VII. These parts are junk yard pulls that I've had in my shed for the past three years.
All parts are useable, but will need to be cleaned and painted. Calipers are not frozen...
