    Center Fog Light Grille...

This one looks like it is much better in quality than the one I purchased from Street Scene for almost $300. (discontinued?) My grille is made from flimsy alluminum mesh. The weight of the fog lamps nearly causes it to sag. And it is cheaply pop-riveted together.... some were even...

255/50's vs 275/40's on stock rims?

Well I got the Ford Racing springs today.:nice: Hope to install them next weekend, weather permitting. Now let me get this..... The factory 235/55 Pirelli tires are 27.1" tall. My current 255/45 Toyo tires are 25.9" tall. (or 1.2" shorter than factory) The car now looks like it has...

255/50's vs 275/40's on stock rims?

Which is better? 255/50's or 275/40's on stock 17inch rims? I will be installing a set of Ford Racing springs regardless of the choice. My current 255/45's have quite a bit of wheel well gap. I am most concerned with handling. I like to turn fast and sharp.:D Will a higher...

    New Tires on Old rims

I have a set of Toyo 255/45/17's Proxes on my stang. The width is good. Still a lot of fender clearance. However, my car is not lowered..... so it has a slight 4X4 look. Ford Racing springs are on the way!!!!!

    Cold weather on the brakes

Well with 45K miles on the car... it looks like $48X2 plus install. Thank you Ford.

    Cold weather on the brakes

I've been having the same problem here in NC. Not that it gets THAT cold here, but I do have to drive the car for quite awhile before the park brake releases. I went under the car last week and lubed the cable assembly and the spring actuators on the brakes. No luck.... still freezes...

    Spring isolators????

I am considering lowering my Stang with a set of springs. Anyone using poly spring isolators???? If so what type/brand, and do they squeek or otherwise hurt or help? I figure while I have the springs off, might as well do the job right.:D

Anyone have problems with heat/defrost both blowing at the same time when on floor ?

On my 05, (december 04 build), any air selection to direct air towards the feet is thrown onto the windshield instead. And my toes get pretty cold! Ford says they are aware of the problem, but no fix is to be expected. Early 05's apparently had the problem even worse than most...

    Anti-lock brake lamp

Does the anti-lock brake lamp light up when the system is active???? The Ford handbook is not specific. It only addresses system malfunctions. I'd like to know, as I have attempted to brake in very slick conditions and have not noticed any anti-lock anything.

    4.10's :frowns:

I had the misfortune of having a "local yokal" do my gears. He charged me each time I came in to have the whine fixed. I paid nearly twice what the Ford dealership would have charged me to do it right the first time... and I've got whiny gears. Bottom line: Make sure the installation tech...

anyone do a brake pad change yet ? i need help

Well a cracked and leaking piston will definetly cause the brake lamp to light up when the fluid level drops enough. Gotta be real careful to keep the pistons aligned with the caliper when pressing them back. I have seen piston O-rings damaged this way, but not cracking. WOW they must be...

anyone do a brake pad change yet ? i need help

I was also at VIR recently for the Holiday laps. I switched to Hawk HPS pads and flushed the fluid. WOW!!! Can only speculate what would be causing your problems. The brake light could indicate a problem with the brake system, (fluid level/pressure) and not just the e-brake...

    '05 Defroster

What month/yr was your car manufactured? Very early cars had problems with the heater/AC air flow. My car was produced in December 04, and air can not be directed to the floor. Only the front vents or the defrosters work properly. Ford is aware of my problem, but does not intend to fix...

Anyone using a PCV oil separator system?

Well it took some time and more than a few trips to the parts store, but I now have an oil seperator for the PCV system. I replaced the driver side PCV valve cover vent line with a mini K&N style filter directly off the cover and plugged the intake vacuum port. (Not emission legal) Then...

Anyone using a PCV oil separator system?

I removed my throttle body assembly last week to make some measurements for a home built throttle body spacer. (Not that difficult) I'm making it out of Delrin plastic for ease, heat resistance and light weight. I found quite a bit of oily residue in the throttle body throat and beyond...

Stripes and Muffler Help before Friday.

Ft/lbs????? IMO tight is right when it comes to exhaust pipe connections. As for the stripes.... search this forum. I wrote some guy a couple good long replies on tips to install his stripes. Several other folks added good info to it as well. Impatient is something you do NOT want to be...

    10" stripe kit install???

Very good advice.... Also, do not get the paper backing material of the stripe too wet. It can melt itself onto the glue of the stripe and make installation a real mess. Nothing like having to scrape paper backing material out of the glue while holding the stripe away from the car surface so it...

    10" stripe kit install???

I purchased a 10" kit on-line that included the bumpers. It is not an easy install. It takes time so make sure you have it before you start. The soapy water with a small amount of alcohol mixture technque will work. It will allow you to move the stripes into the proper position. The...

    Looking to install 4.10's

I do both city and highway driving. (36K miles now on the car since 12/04) The 4.10's have been wonderful. I have seen a drop in my MPG, but only a small jump (200 in 5th gear) in RPM's. Of course my drop in MPG could be due to my foot being "into it" more. The car is so much more fun to...
