    Forced Induction Spark plug dilemma...

The plot thickens I had a set of brand new autolite 2445 copper core plugs recommend for my 1986 lying around that I bought years ago . They look different than both of your plugs. They're kind of in between. Advance auto and autozone both call for an auto lite 25, for a 1984 which looks...

Engine Low compression in all 8 cylinders

Engine Low compression in all 8 cylinders

For a point of reference I would do the whole top dead center drill and make sure the cam timing is right. being off a tooth will make it run poorly but should not cost that much compression. A couple of teeth maybe. Definitely at least check the alignment of the cam timing marks. Look up...

Engine Low compression in all 8 cylinders

With all cylinders close to the same, I would suspect the cam is out of time allowing the intake or most like likely the exhaust valve to stay open too long and bleed off compression through the valve. I don't know the specs of the tfs1 cam but old school hot cams would drop compression because...

    new To site

I believe there is slight difference in the SN 95 axel width too. I believe the 95 is slightly wider but it could be the other way. Guys do swap them over all the time for the read disc brake setup.

    Brakes 92 rear drum removal

Can you pry it off with some crow bars or use a brake drum puller. There are lots of examples of pullers if you search with google images. The worse case is you break a shoe or the springs or spring retainers. All are replaceable and not that expensive. If the E brake bracket came off and...

Suspension Welding Opinion (Torque Box Plates)

They are ok to weld down. You would probaly beat down the plate with a hammer until it was flush with the floor. I wouldn't want to weld that big of a gap, but I'm not that goods of a welder:O_o:

    Daily Driver Decisions....Need Honest Help

Lots of good responses so here’s my 2 cents. It seems like the biggest part of your problem is money. You don’t have enough to keep the mustang and also get something reliable. A later model vic with 75000 should be more reliable than a 30 year old mustang with 400k on it. That said think with...

Electrical 1990 lx - TFI module failure?

Sometimes the PIP sensor in the distributor will fail and cause similar intermittent propblems. Not expensive but a little work to change as you have to pull and disassemble the distributor.

Engine 91 LX New Plug Wires Arcing

Sounds weird, I'm suprised you didn't get shocked from a bad wire. Don't think the paint is causing any issues. I would just get a new set of Ford racing wires, never had any problems with them and they are 40 -50 bucks from most of the online venders including summit.

    Suspension Bilstien rear shocks

Those rubber bushings usually squeeze up a lot when you tighten everything up. Maybe you can pre squeeze them some by using a nut and bolt to compress them before placing on the shock. I don't know how much they will spring back but it looks like you only need a bit more to get it on. Good Luck

Paint and Body Extra Clearance After Fender Roll

smaller tires, narrower rear end, possibly different offset wheels, taller springs, is the car lower than stock? adjustable lower control arms i.e. maximum motor sports has some with adjustable spring pedestals, Cutting up the fenders is probaly the most costly in the long run. Good luck

    Should I Buy The Fox??

You don't say if you cac and do work on your own cars. If you don't, move on to something newer. Older cars tend to need more repairs like control arm bushings, rear axle bearings and seals, pinion seals, transmission seals, rear main seals, etc, and while the those parts are not that...

    Miss After Tune Up

Looks like you are working in the right direction, back track what you changed before assuming something else went bad. You said you did a tune up, did you change the spark plugs and wires? On different occasions I have failed to seat a plug wire correctly and once I somehow cracked a plug...
