Single stage vs basecoat/clearcoat
32 is dead on, that is exactly what we did when we painted mine. Sealed it, 3 base coats, 6 deep coats of clear and no baking. Wet sanded and buffed about 3 days after it was painted. I have enough clear-coat on it to wet sand and buff it a few more times. It was a smart investment. :D...- stang22

Thanks for the compliments guys! :nice: The biggest thing is to just take your time and do it right the first time. Use your imagination as well and don't be afraid to ask questions. I would call Paul (ALMOST STOCK) a few times a day when I got into a crunch or had questions. He's a great...- stang22

Thanks! I did all of the polishing, e-bay welding, wire hiding and suspension and I had a one of the best painters in South Texas paint the car. Engine was built in Florida by a machine shop, but I spec'd it out. Lots of time, work and $$$... Just sits in storage now because I am in Germany...- stang22
