Orange peel on a new car is not a desirable quality. When repairing or replacing panels some orange peel is required to match the factory finish. New cars without orange peel do not appear "wavy".
You seem to be accepting the idea of bottoming out as normal, it's not. Forget about checking the stress points until you fix the problem (ie. bottoming out).
Assuming you're using stock wheels and tires, it shouldn't bottom out. If it does make sure you have the right springs, struts and shocks for your car.
I have that set-up on an 08 GT automatic. You can feel a difference but it comes on late (4500 rpm). Very easy to install but uses a paper filter. :notnice: I've been looking for a cloth-type filter but no one has it. K&N will build a custom one but it won't be an exact fit due to the odd...
I don't know? Can you?

If you really dont want the e6se heads, ebay has rebuilt e7te heads for $175-$385.
I know I'm wrong and I accept that, but my thinking goes like this:
3 : 1 first gear and 3 : 1 gears. Overall ratio is 9 : 1. A taller tire would cover
more distance per revolution.
Like I said I'm wrong, I just don't understand why.
Thanks. :nice:
A popular tire chain told me different. My instructor (im a p/t auto tech student)
agrees with you. I just wanted a second opinion and more if anyone has one.
New guy here.
Question: When changing to a larger circumference tire, will acceleration and/or top speed change?
Why would people change to larger tires if its going to slow them down?
Thanks for any explanations or opinions on the matter.
