    Ray, I'd get an adjustable cam sprocket and change the cam timing. Even if the cam is off only 2*, that translates into 4* of crank rotation. My guess is it's off even more than that. I'd try advancing the cam timing about 6* to start. It should then be so fast as to make ricers run home crying...

    SS, I agree with you about an aftermarket muffler giving a performance boost. I've been researching them recently, and just installed a Hooker Aero Chamber on an Explorer. The increased torque was noticable, not to mention the sweet exhaust sound. The Magnaflow is one of the better mufflers...

    Does anyone run these? I'm considering one for my Explorer 4.0 (V-6 with single exhaust). The Hookers seem to be the right combination of free-flowing yet relatively quiet. Any opinions? Thanks. Don

    New Muffler; Better than Flowmaster?

    Does anyone have experience with these? AeroTurbine Muffler Apparently they're used a lot on turbo diesels; might be good on a T 2.3, or even an N/A?
