    Overheating...

If you have a sensitive nose like ashford, this may work, but the most accurate way of testing for a blown head gasket is to take it to a shop. They put a cap on the radiator attached to a machine that measures "combustion products" in the coolant. A way of measuring the amount of oil, gas and...

    What's a good replacment alternator?

No, blue347, the wire that was supplied is about the size of my little finger, no heat, full charge, I checked everything with a multimeter. I have had no problems at all (I'm knocking hard on wood here) for the 8 months I've had it. Like I said, there are a lot of options out there, 3g, pa...

    Overheating...

I agree with hissin50, don't do anything drastic until you check out the tstat. Mine was doing the same thing, I replaced the radiator and tstat just to be sure. (both stock original, 9yrs old). Turns out it was the tstat, would open sometimes at a rolling boil, but not always. Tstats are famous...

bump steer kits, safe, strong enough for rr,street?

Where else would you need one? If you hit a bump or pot hole and suddenly find yourself looking at the nearest roadside tree, a bumpsteer kit is the way to go. I've driven mustangs and other cars that scared me to death on a bumpy and twisty road. Throw in a tubular k-member and g-load brace...

    What's a good replacment alternator?

Your alternator diodes are fried. Same thing happened to me. When the diode fails, it allows reverse flow from the battery to the alternator with the engine off. I'm sure mine died because with u/d pulleys, it never maintained a full battery charge. Alternators aren't designed to charge a...

    low amps at idle- options?

Tell him to bite the bullet and go for a higher amp alternator. I had problems for years with the stock alternator and u/d pulleys. I finally got smart and went with the powermaster 140amp one wire alt and have had no problems since. There are lots of choices out there, 3g, PA performance, etc...

    Another RR Question?

I recommend all of them, I'm just going to use the ford rr's. The trick flows were the most accurate in tolerance that the guy could find. But like I said, his was "race only" and had to to spec'd exactly. On a daily driver/occasional strip car, I don't think that kind of accuracy is necessary...

Don't trust every thining you here from Summit?

Summit has even paid my freight when fed-ex screwed up. But then again, I always check the manufacturers site for part numbers before ordering. I'll stick with summit.

    Another RR Question?

bmo is right, remove the baffle and they should fit. Most head/cam manufacturers recommend full roller alumininum rockers. Unless you're a serious "class racer" there are all kinds of brands and prices. FRPP, harland-sharp, tfs, crane, etc. All are good, most are inaccurate. I read of an nmra...

How much HP with heads, intake, and cam?

I third the 24lb injectors, with a 75mm maf. The 65mm tb will support up to 400hp, so unless your're planning on something more awesome, no reason to go overboard. That's speaking from a n/a point. If you plan s/c or nitrous in the future, you might want to bump those up and not have to spend...

How much power can the stock air box & air tube support?

I've seen the flow numbers on the stock box vs. the cai, and they are nearly identical. I have not seen the numbers on sticking the maf in the fenderwell as they are doing now, it might me worth looking into.

    Bad vibrations

Shaking in the steering wheel and front end is mainly caused by worn out ball joints, although I would inspect everything. Jack up the front of the car and grab a tire at the top and bottom and check for play. You'll know right away if you have too much, as there should be very little if any...

    Bad vibrations

I would check the drive shaft (ujoints) for wear. If you're experiencing shake in the steering wheel, check the front end, ball joints, etc. I've seen in a lot of threads where people had a vibration with no wear on the u-joints, but changing over to an aluminum drive shaft cured the vibration...

    Flex- a- Lite Electric Fan

I have the flex-a-lite, it works just fine on hot days. But a warning. Do go to a bigger alternator if you commute or do a lot of night driving. I killed two batteries with the stock 65 amp. Went to a 140amp powermaster, no more problems. The alternator is designed to keep a charge on a "fully...

    weak e-break

bg, they're shoes, not pads. If the car has had one brake job done in it's life, I can just about guarantee that the self adjuster isn't functioning properly. If you adjust the rear brakes properly, no pulling will occur. Fox body mustangs are notorious for bad brakes, the main reason being that...

    weak e-break

Also make sure that your rear brake shoes have enough meat on them to take the adjustment. If you have never adjusted the ebrake, the shoes may be worn thin. This will save you from eating up the drums with metal to metal contact.
