    my bone stock 91 gt 5spd was 3180 me out of it. that was at the DOT truck weight stations you see on the side of the road. This is with spare tire, ponys, ac, smog everything that came on the car from the factory.

    hughes torque converters

    mine is an 8" setup for a glide and a brake for about 5500rpm, what you are looking at is probably some kind of street converter. Their stuff is as good as anybody elses. I also have and ati, and coan converter, they are all the same quality.

    sounds like pcv problems. you are building a lot of crankcase pressure and it has to go somewhere.

    Stang8URMPRT, why would it need an injector, since you said the egr valve was already used to pull fuel from the exhaust? Does the exhaust not spit out enough unburned fuel already? That must be what that wet stuff is coming out of my tailpipe in the morning, unburned fuel for the egr valve...

    I have searched the thread for my answer about gears.

    i would get the richmond gears. Because i believe ( i am sure somebody will let me know if i am wrong) the fms gears don't have the pinion depth engraved on them. They just go by the master housing depth method. So the installation will be more accurate if you put them in to the exact depth...

    its not that big of a deal. I have always done it by myself. Unless you are a 50lb manboy, and you can't bench 75lbs (the trans. weight) you will be alright by yourself.

    leaky power rack, any of those seal conditioners actually work?

    i used the lucas oil version on a toyota with 225,000 miles. It worked great and stopped the leak. It was a pretty decent leak too.

    How did you get your drive shaft bolts off?

    just took my driveshaft out last night. 12point, 12mm half inch drive on the old impact wrench and they fell out like butter!
