    ditto. 285 width with a 9 - 9.5" width with the correct backspace is pretty much the max. without having rubbing issues. keep the tire bead no closer than 1/2" away from its first inner contact (the leaf spring) and roll the fender lip on the outter side

    thanks for all the insight and info. I have decided not to do the return line. however, I now am going to run one of those poly moroso cool cans where I can still run my AN fittings. and run more fire sleeve where I have not on my fuel line.

    Can I do this even if it is a carbeurated engine? I thought that was only for fuel injection. I have a good aeromotive regulator and fuel pump, the regulator does have a second output that I plugged. Would I have to have an extra threaded bung added to my fuel tank, then run the return fuel...

But I have a 6" billet alum fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator mounted on the side, and after a cruise when I touch those parts they are hot!! Can only hold them for a few...
