5.0 Ram Air Kit possible in 65 Stang?

You should follow his link, then.:D I don't like how Stangnet inserts the page title for you. Sometimes they aren't exactly what's being described.

69 drop kit vs weird factory effect question

I read this all the time and still fail to see any proof of it. I really doubt a car would be designed tail down from the factory. Cougars I don't know as I can't seem to find any ads. The larger front wheel wells relative to the rear and the character line that slopes down as it goes to the...

WHAT'S NEEDED FOR COUPE TO FASTBACK CONVERSION?

 The guy also shows the "before" pics taken for PHR magazine so it looks like he won't be cutting corners if he wants the car featured. Looks OK but the quarters seem too tall. You can confirm this by the large gap between the quarter extensions and tips of the rear bumper. Someone on...

    Seats, what to use

I have 1986 Mustang "halo" seats in mine, but I also had Honda CRX seats in it at one point. The CRX seats bolt onto the front and rear of the seat platform rather than on top so you have to drill new holes into the floor.

If it was from CA everyone would be copying it.

Retrofit Tacoma Struts in a Stang

With the strut lower mount being close to the balljoint the difference in motion ratio is going to require a softer rate than you would on a spring mounted on the center of the original control arm. But in your case, until you find out the Taco 4x4's spring rate you're just guessing. Choosing a...

65-66 CUSTOM MADE FRONT COILOVER SETUP IN PROGRESS

Well that's what I was wondering, why not just make them straight? By curving them you introduced a twisting force. But I see your final one will incorporate the square stock, so it makes it all moot.

65-66 CUSTOM MADE FRONT COILOVER SETUP IN PROGRESS

I wouldn't be so quick assuming everyone knows what you know. Apparently not "everyone else" does when stuff like this keeps showing up. Old TCP yes, the new coilover mounts on the lower control arm with the force close to the balljoint, where it should be. No rod ends are in bending. Griggs and...

Retrofit Tacoma Struts in a Stang

Interesting conversion, do you have pictures of where the strut mounts on the control arm?

65-66 CUSTOM MADE FRONT COILOVER SETUP IN PROGRESS

Those little tabs are scary, considering they're holding up the weight of the car. Was there a reason they needed to be bent rather than a straight piece? As for the rod ends, instead of explaining I'd suggest you read this. Formula Student Germany: Pat's Column - Rod Ends in Bending

How much meat does the Weiand Stealth have to it (need to grind for distributor fit)?

Remove cap, mark on distributor where rotor is, remove distributor, then rotate and install distributor in new position making sure the mark lines up once the distributor is fully seated. Relation to manifold does not matter as long as rotor is at the right place relative to the cap and the...

I would like to put a chin spoiler on a 68

Thought about that but wasn't sure what the results would be. I never noticed that the Blackened car used a cut-down Maier spoiler. Not bad.

I would like to put a chin spoiler on a 68

Anyone recognize this spoiler and where I can find one? Looks smaller than the Maier piece. The one linked earlier looks small, too, but I'd have to see one on a car before deciding on it. The Maier one looks strange to me, like the car has a pointy chin because the spoiler sticks out...

20/20 Story about old tires - IMPORTANT!

They were model rocket engines, you could see the smoke plumes before the collision actually happened, IIRC. This BS has been going on since the 70s but people still fall for this crap. It didn't start with Dateline NBC - fraudulent investigative TV documentaries about automobile safety -...

    Header Gaskets?

I'd use these: Earl's Performance 29D04AERL - Earl's Performance Pressure Master Header Seals - summitracing.com Installed them over 8 years ago on my 289 using the Stage 8 bolts but without those stupid locking clips that never fit right anyway. No leaks and I haven't re-tightened them...

20/20 Story about old tires - IMPORTANT!

I'm not downplaying the dangers of old tires, but this typical TV garbage is just stupid. Notice there are no official statements from anyone testing old tires to prove that they're dangerous. How many proven tire failures on properly maintained tires that caused death involved tires over 6...
