    This was a sad night for me. I was going around a blind curve at about 60 in a 40 and saw a deer at the last second. My reaction was swerve away from the deer which put my car into an embankment, up a tree, then upside down.

    I don't think Jr's decision to leave DEI was totally up to him. There were most likely some behind the scenes politics going on between Theresa Earnhardt (Jr's stepmom) and Jr. IDK about Jr driving the #3 car because he isn't/never will be his dad.

    Yeah if the v6 model produces the same horsepower/torque numbers and was reasonably priced I would consider buying it. But that would never happen because then GTs will be obsolete.

    New rims, Need some tire size help.

    First of all how wide are the wheels you're buying? IMO they'd have to be at least 9.5" wide to justify a 305 width tire. And I would get at least a 45 series sidewall on 18" wheels to fill in the fenders, and to not stray far from the stock tire diameter.

    Should I have dealer fix damage done on lot new?

    I had a similar problem with a Nissan that I purchased a while back - damage that was done on the lot prior to purchase that I just couldn't see at the time of delivery. The dealership told me it was "owner incurred damage" and that they're not responsible for it. Let's hope your local Ford...

    Well I meant the GF because unlike the Mustang, you can't really buy a GF. :) As for the Mustang vs. Camaro debate, I think Chevy got it right in the performance department. Ford owners can only wish their v6 Mustangs make 306hp out of the box.

    You are right. The 4.6 3V engines don't have knock sensors. So if you hear knocking, increase the octane. Otherwise, stick with the lowest octane possible for these engines as long as there is no timing advance or forced induction.

    I thought they're restricted at only Daytona and Talladega. Where else? And only those two places are where they can break 200mph, hence the restriction. Isn't the Mustang going to be a Nationwide-only car anyway? IMO, if/when they do make the switch to Mustang, they should also use the Monte...

    The current style bodies can't reach 200+ mph anyway because of restrictor plates. I understand your point though, but I'm sure they can mess with different front bumpers and splitters to make Mustang front ends suitable for high speeds. It won't happen though because NASCAR loves their decals.

    You have the steeda sport springs which give a 1" drop correct? Was anything else done to make it lower? Because that ride height looks perfect and I may consider getting the steedas.. Do you have any bigger pics of your car, maybe in different angles? How's the fender gap?

    Just curious, does the speedometer read lower or higher than the speed on your navigation? Because assuming that your gps is correctly calibrated, this could spell trouble if the speedo reads lower. (speeding tickets) :eek:

    what oil are you running?

    So when people do the 500-1000-3000 mile oil changes on a new car is it just for peace of mind? BTW I use Motorcraft's "full" synthetic with the 820S filter.

    Nothing wrong with stock wheels. :) They sure beat the ones the car came with. And I want to add that hood scoop does not look OEM/is ugly. Probably another dumb addition made by the previous owner.
