    Yea the cutoff wheel I think can be used without any problems. I think as you are cutting you just spray some WD-40 and it will cool down the metal.

    Yea I see what you are saying. I mean I am not trying to be hard headed about this but that steel is so thick I dont think it will make a difference besides you just use some kind of lubricant while cutting to keep the temperature down.

    The rear springs have a dead coil that is designed to be removed if you want the car on an even keel. Otherwise you can leave it as it is so that you can accomidate slicks....

    I am going to use the Makita to cut it with the steel cutting wheel. The place where you cut it is just below where it stops at the top. So if you were working your way from the bottom to the top you would cut the second coil just below where the last coil ends.

    Yea I mean I dont expect the car to ride like a cadilac. I am just scared I am going to cut too much off of it and then its going to sag in the back but I am think I am going to cut the dead coil of this weekend.
