    Its true, alot of the guys in 4.6 talk are strokes. there a few good ones here and there but alot of what you said is true. I usually hangout in 5.0 (even tho I drive an 03) or the banana hammock.

    thanks again. He did have a 89 engine he built, nothing special, but it bit the dust with only 7 miles on it. All caused by a bad torque wrench:notnice: So now hes trying to figure out what he can do with all the extra stuff he has thats still good.

    Fake blow off valve?

    he was probably spooling the turbo up while cruising, i use to have a 2.3 turbo and i would spool up under normal driving, sounds like a constant whooshing sound. blow off valves go off when you get out of the throttle, unless he was running a bypass valve, those make the wooshing noise too...

    I say run him and shut him up for good, although they are quick little V8's they arent even comparible to a stang, you'll blow him away off the line and walk away on the top end, the only place these cars shine is on the top end and in the twisty's. they are not a quarter-mile car at all...
