Why would anybody drive a new Stang in road salt...

Yea never thought of sand storms doing damage. I remember seeing the storm our Troops got caught up in when they where going into Baghdad, that was nasty. I really wouldn't mind some Hawaiian weather about now, we just got dumped on again today, and mores on the way. If your in Colo. then you...

Why would anybody drive a new Stang in road salt...

Sounds like its a nice place you lived at considering you could see the lake. I didn't know it was near Rochester, I see the I 490 signs when we go to the Syracuse State Fair, looks like a staright shot to BrockPort from there. You still have any family in N.Y.?

    I wonder if old antifreeze....

BTJustice, A few questions for you or others that know. What would you use to flush out your system of the Dex-Cool (and its rust/sludge) before adding the G-05? We have 4 GMs here and it was Prestone that I put in my Chevy Pickup and Stang this summer so now 5 vehicle have to get...

    I wonder if old antifreeze....

Thanks for the info, I have to do my GF's 99 Blazer yet and my 98 Firebird, I "was" going to use that dex-cool as I wasn't aware of the problems with it. When I checked the cap in the Bird last week it was full of that crap, I just bought this car on the cheap a few weeks ago. My 91 Chevy pickup...

    Shelby qtr window kit

I just searched "quarter vent window" and used "show posts", rather than "treads", just did a quick breeze thru and from the headlines looks like it's not gonna be any easy job. What I read in the past could have been an off topic post rather than a thread, but I know someone was talking about...

Welding Aluminumized Steel to Stainless Steel?

One suggestion would be if you can tack weld all the pieces in place then call a few welding shops and get a few quotes on having them finish up w/ stainless:shrug: If I made the investment in a stainless exaust I'd go the distance and keep it all stainless (welds).

    Shelby qtr window kit

I swear I saw a thread on this topic not far back. Did you try a seach here yet? Personally I love the look of those windows over the vents, if I had a FB I'd be doing the same. Good luck w/ the install.

Why would anybody drive a new Stang in road salt...

After I read all those posts awhile back on you guys finding the black widow spiders in and under your cars I'm NEVER going South again:rlaugh: I had a bout with a huge, hairy wolf spider in my apt. once when I lived in Tampa Fla., that thing was huge! No way I was going to try and get to sleep...

Question for the experts 200 6cyl

Yea those I-6's I've heard are a pretty durable engine overall. I'm keeping mine in my 68 coupe and plan on putting a lot of miles on it this summer. There's guys on here that can fill you in better than I if you wanted to modify that engine in the future for more power and what you could expect...

Question for the experts 200 6cyl

When I want to clean out an engine, after I put in the additives I'll put about 50 hard miles on it. I'll stop and then put the pedal to the medal as they say and wind it out (within reason) over and over again. I wouldn't think 6-7 miles is going to do all that much IMHO. I've also got the...

    Post them pics!!!!!!

I understand just what your saying about the static, just never knew this before and it'll be helpfull now in the future. As for the solvent cloud, I never thought about a static spark igniting that, I think thats good info for anyone reading this that didn't know that, kinda scarey when you...

    Post them pics!!!!!!

Yea I had two box fans running sucking in the filtered air and enough breeze ontop of that pushing thru the filtered area to get good ventilation. My filter area was 3'x16' . Only had one bug get in my paint on the second coat so carefully got him out with extra long tweezers. The other coats...

    Sputtering and got stranded!

He's right, the car sounds like it is flooding itself out. Your carb float raises and closes that needle valve when it's full, if the float went bad (will be full of gas and heavy) that could also be the problem. The needle valve stuck open is allowing to much gas into the chamber and then it...
