    T56 Owners

I have a McLeod bellhousing for a Cobra T56 behind SBF if you are interested. New in box.

    T56 Owners

+1 on McLeod and relocating the shifter. I forgot to space my throwout bearing at first, tried bleeding it and realized it was maxed out with a 1" gap between the bearing and the pressure plate. But I have an odd setup with the T5 bellhousing. If you can get one that slips over the bearing...

    chin spoiler

I had the plastic one but for my 66. I've gone through about 5 chin spoilers in the past 10 years. The plastic one lasted about a day, I like the fiberglass ones better.

    This thing just won't fire

Harry, here are a few tricks to test out your electrical system. Your ignition switch might be bad. This has happened to me a few times where the key switch still works in the on and acc positions but not for START. I've even had new ones be bad out of the box. Try jumping the...

How badly did I screw up?

Weld up the new holes, you can use a piece of brass to help fill the holes. Grind them down smooth. Drill the correct holes where they need to be. After new holes are drilled maybe weld big flat washers over the holes to the engine side of the tower to reinforce them. Viola. Bart

    Trunk tension springs

I had to remove the hinges from the wheel wells and pulled them out hinge and spring. My deck lid was still bolted to it too.

It runs, but it over heats. No rear coolant crossover in intake the problem?

For the spring in the lower hose, I take a thin stainless steel rod and coil it over something about the same diameter as the inside of the lower hose. Then I feed it into the lower hose. In the pat I've used wire cot hangers but they rust bad and had one brake and a chunk got sucked into a...

    T-5 Conversion, Cable Clutch Issues....

I think you want to use the Lakewood long style fork, it helps give more leverage and should reduce effort just a little. Sounds to me like your ball stud pivot on the end of the fork might need to be adjusted outward some to place the throwout bearing closer to the diaphragm at rest. If you...

    Door pillar help??

I'd drill a few holes through the original metal just above and just below the rust. I'd take plate steel and weld it on the inside bridging the two separated pieces, then weld in the holes as spot welds. Grind the beads down and paint it.

    narrowing a 9 inch assistance

Jon, I have a 65 8" sitting in the garage I tore down this past weekend. Axles are out, I can take some measurements of everything with pics if you want.

    Pedal Support Bushing

The plastic bushings have been around for decades without problems, they do wear out after a while. They just keep the pedals tight. Technically you could run without them but it would be awkward. You'll be fine with the plastic bushings. If you want to do the roller bearing conversion later...

    Smoothed Cowl

When you open the air vent flaps on either side you won't get the rush of air when you drive. The heater/defroster will still work. The fan will draw outside air in and through the heater core. Yes, outside air, even though the cowl vents are deleted the cowl is still open on the sides. I...

    Tires for 17's on a 65

Maybe 1" is too much, you should measure those wheels and figure the right size spacer to run. Or have the spacers turned down if they are rubbing.

1995 cobra upgrade to 2003 cobra wheels

I bolted a set on my 96 and they don't look like they will rub. The 03 is the same chassis as the 95 isn't it?

    WYOTECH vs UTI

I calculated it to around $65k after 10 years. Like I said earlier, my buddy did 6 years in the Air Force and got out. The GI bill is covering him full ride at Wyotech. Wyotech gives free room to veterans, and the GI Bill gives a housing allowance ($1500 month) while going to school full...

    reusing lower control arm

You can weld in sleeves for screw in ball joints, then it would be serviceable. Check with Opentracker.
