    Tires for 17's on a 65

What's the difference between the 255 and 245? isn't it less than 1/2"? I think fitting the 255 tire in the rear was with 5" backspacing, not 100% sure but thought I might mention it just in case. with 4.75bs I had to roll the fender lips but I did have a Versailles rear.

    18x7, 5.5" BS : wheels fit?

That's a weird off the wall question. Coupe, T code, blue, I don't see what that has to do with anything.

    18x7, 5.5" BS : wheels fit?

I think they'll look good on the car with the right tires and stance. 10 cans of paint for 4 wheels? I can paint my car with around 10 cans.

    18x7, 5.5" BS : wheels fit?

I think everyone is getting hung up on the 18" part. They are 7" wide, and we can fit an 8" wheel under the front and rear without problems using 4.75 bs. If you use a 0.75" spacer the inner side of the tire will be the same distance away as if you had 4.75 bs. But since you have a 7" wide...

Swapping my 95GT Drivetrain into 66 Coupe

You should reinforce the firewall. Mustang Steve uses an aluminum block for the cable housing to bottom against. I did it myself and let the cable housing but against the hole I put in the firewall and over time from the pressure put in that spot the housing eventually punched a bigger hole...

    Cobra brakes

Some calipers are coarse thread, some are fine thread. I'm not sure what size though. If you have access to a hardware store take the caliper down the bolts aisle and test fit until you find the right thread size.

    Coolant in oil

Thanks D. I was thinking head gasket too but not cooked. This is my first time using cometic gaskets and I was thinking maybe coolant might leak between the multi layers somehow. The remote oil filter lines were milky and the filter too, I think the filter got clogged. Didn't hear any...

    Coolant in oil

Started up my new engine without coolant for about 1 minute just to make sure everything was working, was idling at 50psi on the oil gauge. i shut the engine down and filled the radiator. Started up again and no oil pressure at the gauge, I shut the engine down and pulled the dipstick, it was...

    WYOTECH vs UTI

I'm not a recruiter or pushing anyone to join. I was in the Air Force for 10 years and I just separated from the service. If someone wanted to get into auto mechanics the military would train you and give you a LOT of experience. I was in the intelligence career field, I'm a government...

    1966 351 swap exhaust manifold

I have a set of those headman headers I had in my 66 with a 351W. They fit without any denting, massaging, cutting etc, even had good clearance for a clutch cable. $100+shipping if you want them. I have 351C heads so I can't use them anymore. I'll even clean them up and put some black high...

    Clutch Cable

First pic shows all the pieces. Second pic, 2 bolts welded to the pedal, they are first mocked up to the quadrant for proper spacing. In the pic it shows the longer bolt welded even to the pedal rod, but doing it that way will cause the quadrant to rub a great deal against the underside of the...

    Clutch Cable

I've done the cable setup, fox and SN-95 on my Mustang and hydraulic. I prefer the hydro throwout bearing but to save some cash I've used something like your kit you posted from ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/84-85...item2a03c67c45 If you can find one of those kits for a 96+ I agree the...

    Cobra brakes

I didn't modify the cables, I just connected them. You might need make a cable housing stop though. If you're master cylinder is good now, it will be good with the 13" rotors. If you go with a wilwood one, get the same bore size you currently have. This all assuming you already have a...

    Aluminum radiator advice

I bought an AFCO aluminum crossflow radiator with the inlet on the passenger side, and outlet on the drivers. I swapped out the water pump too. I agree, I think having the ports on opposite sides helps.

    Cobra brakes

I was able to reuse my old ebrake cables. If you have the old pot master cylinder swap in a dual reservoir master cylinder for front and rear disc brakes. I used a mid 80's SVO, the hard lines go into the "wrong" side of the master cylinder. Wilwood has some nice master cylinders, if you are...
