    Well, any number of things could have gone wrong here… Best thing might be to pull the harness back out, and start tracing each wire, comparing it to you stock harness diagram. Do you have a factory diagram to work with? Does your car vary in anyway from the stock diagram?

    Back left is 5.0 t5, front right is 2.3t from an svo. Can I just swap out the top covers to get the nuetral switch on the 2.3 t5 Shouldn’t be any gears to fuss with, if I only swap the top covers, right?

    Might be worth just wiring the fan from scratch, direct to the battery. Especially if you can’t tell where the wires are run. Or start opening up the wire bundles and tracing all wires to the fan and it’s relay. Might be a silly question, but could an intermittent short, internal to the fan...

    Sounds like you made good progress already! Parts mismatch is always a concern when you don't know the complete history... What ecu do you have? What MAF housing/sensor (looks like stock 55mm housing, sensor part numbers)? What injectors? Is there a chip installed in the ecu?

    If it only happens when the pump is running, and the injectors aren’t leaking, then about all that is left is the regulator. As said above, typical failure will blow fuel into the vac line, have you checked the fpr vac line for fuel?…. Could also fail in full bypass though, without leaking into...

    Not sure on the hissing…. How long does pressure hold after the pump is shut off? Maybe regulator? The ecu doesn’t have a fuel psi input, so the pump primes on a timer. If it isn’t turning off, then something is likely wonky in the fuel pump relay… and it sounds like you already had some...

    I thought it was common. Astro performance comes to mind as being the provider for gear swaps, but seems they are no longer around. Swapping a gear ratio may not be an option? I want to say there was a .6* ratio available, but that’s a 15yr old memory… Don’t recall if the other gear ratios had...
