    sadly he is right. the ford guys originally likened this to the 351/400 modified motor of the 70's. similar architecture, but different. this is the MODIFIED modular. very little is the same. if they did fit a 4.6 it would have 375ish hp stock.

    the new delivery date is the 11th. i will not have time to add boltons before the 22nd. ill just have to race with DR's.

    the massive head flow these motors have is paying off. evolution is going to port some heads also. stock is supposed to be 355cfm, maybe ported will reach 370 - 400cfm.

    latest number with off road x-pipe, catback, filter, tune is 405rwhp / 375 rwtq. this motor is now out torquing 5.4 3v and 4v. from a few bolt ons and tune. they are messing with the tune more.

    425rwhp is easily mid 11's with a well setup 1980-2011 stang. evolution is doing a poll of the expectation for the dyno of the 2011gt with off road X and minimal tune. i said 387/362, but the SMS is rated at that with the stock restrictive cat pipe. 2.25" pipes in the catpipes. Ford did it...

    my car already has gears. the immediate goal is to get 11's on drag radials and bolt-ons. i have no doubt the first time i run it with DR's i will get near the 12.5 of their car. depending on conditions.

    i highly doubt they can tune the car yet. change the rev limit maybe. its going to take a rocket scientist to learn the tables.
