    Radar/Laser Detectors?

His statement was in relation to LASER detectors, not RADAR detectors :) Generally speaking, if your laser alert goes off, you're probably nailed already.

    Radar/Laser Detectors?

Valentine 1 and Escort 8500 are probably your two best choices. I tried a V1 and didn't really care for it - it falsed constantly on laser and was awfully large. I run an Escort 8500 in my Z28, and it has saved my butt on numerous occasions. I'm not a terrible speeder, but in a car like a...

    Ford Interest rate

Yes, if you can use your own bank or credit union you'll almost always do better - unless there's a great promotional rate through Ford. Unfortunately, there are no promotional rates on the Mustang right now, so you're probably best off to arrange your own financing - the dealer will just try...

    Sorrily sold my Mustang

That's a pretty expensive mistake to make on a new car. Didn't you get to test drive one first to see how uncomfortable the front seats are, how small the back seats are, and how cheap the plastic is inside? :)

    Sales Scam

IT IS A SCAM!!! This happens all the time, especially when listing vehicles or other expensive items on-line. There is no legitmate reason for anyone to pay you more than your asking price, and there is no reason to send "excess" money to a 3rd party.

    GT500 under $40k MSRP guaranteed!

Not if the dealership wrote him a contract stating that he will pay MSRP for the car. They can put $20K markups on the other 2, but if he has a signed, written contract with money deposited, they will have to honor the MSRP deal.

    Doing 58 in a 40

I've had an Escort 8500 in my 2001 Cobra, and now my 2002 Z28 for 4 combined years. I've not gotten a single ticket, although I deserved a few. Even though a good radar detector is expensive, it is well worth it IMHO. It won't save you from everything, but it will provide some protection...

    Paint Sealer

That's a pure profit item added by dealers which does you absolutely no good. Refuse it if at all possible. Some of the more slimy dealers put it on all new vehicles (allegedly) so you can't easily get one without it. You can, however, try to refuse to pay for it even if they have put it on.

Spanked a Acura RSX Type S (how much HP?)

I think an RSX Type S could hold its own, or even beat, a V6 Mustang - depending on driver. It's a very fast little car, but just not GT fast :)

Spanked a Acura RSX Type S (how much HP?)

I had a 2002 RSX Type S for 3 weeks :) The 2002 had 200 HP, and I think it red-lined at 8,000 RPM. It was quick, but no match for a Mustang GT.

Got my 2006 Stang Gt at Invoice yeaa

Definitely ... TAKE A BEATER!! I can almost guarantee you that some low-life piece of #$%@! would vandalize your car. Wish I was going, The Crue is one of my favorite bands :hail2:

Got my 2006 Stang Gt at Invoice yeaa

Johnny got a great deal on the car. In no way, shape or form did he get screwed based on the deal. Now, if you're considering that he didn't get the exact car he would have ordered, then that's a different issue. From a purely financial standpoint, he made out like a bandit on the car he did...

Got my 2006 Stang Gt at Invoice yeaa

I went to Ford.com, and with the options he's got, I can price out an '05 and get the real MSRP of the car to $30,105. Not additional markup, but Ford's MSRP for the car. At that same MSRP, the Ford site says invoice should be $27,873. Which is nearly identical to the MSRP/Invoice that...

Got my 2006 Stang Gt at Invoice yeaa

No way if the MSRP on the window sticker is $30,125. The invoice price he posted looks correct for an MSRP of $30K.

2nd month of soft Mustang sales

Which is at odds with every other statement I've seen about the new Mustang. Almost every other article and statement I've seen says that roughly 30% are GTs, and 70% are V6s.

2nd month of soft Mustang sales

Just got back from looking at Escapes. The local Ford dealer had a ton of V6's in stock, but only one GT Convertible. If you're looking for a V6, there seem to be more available again, but the GT selection is very minimal around here.

Another Gt Goes Down - Defective Heads!!!

They're not going to leave him with a dead car. That's what the warranty is for! Ford will replace the heads, or the motor if necessary, to make it right. They sure as hell won't give him a new car over it or buy it back, and I wouldn't expect them to. Maybe if it had 100 miles on it...

For Fun - Highest Hwy MPGs for GT - I'm 30.8 Hwy.

That's the government subsidized price, same as in Venezuela. It certainly costs more than a nickel a gallon to pump, refine, distribute and sell a gallon of gas.

    Conspiracy Theory

That urban legend has been around for 50 years. It was as much of a legend in the 70s as it is now. It didn't happen.
