Just completed K-Member, A-arms, and Coilover. Now issues

Nope, not yet. I just got it on the ground from the jack stands and saw that the passenger side wheel was not pointed the same as the drivers side. I figure I need to get them close to the same so that I can drive it to the alignment shop. It looks far enough out of wack that I don't want...

Just completed K-Member, A-arms, and Coilover. Now issues

Hey Guys, Like the title says, I just got done putting in my PA Racing K-member, A-Arms, Strange 10 way adjustable Coilover with 14" 175lb springs, and HPM caster camber plates. I have the coilovers set about 1 inch above the bottom to get the ride height that I want. When I got to...

Street Car! - How much HP is enough?

Its a tough question that there is really no answer to. For me I started out with a stock car. I figured if I could get 350 rwhp out of it I would be happy. Well I went great guns on it, and ended up at about 450. It was great at first, but after a while I got used to it, and needed/wanted...

Will this shorter belt routing work? (pic inside)

Hopefully I don't need more alternator/battery power. I think the water pump draws about 11 Amps. I don't really have anything for a stereo but the stock stuff, so I think I will be OK. I'll just have to find out the hard way.:D I paid $430 for the unit from summit. They also sell one...

Will this shorter belt routing work? (pic inside)

Yeah, if I would have know I was going to end up routing the belt like this, I would have got the pump that doesn't have the idler. When I ordered it, I was planning on keeping the delete pulleys for the smog and A/C. I think it will pump more water thought the system at idle than the belt...

    massive gas leak

been there I had mine go bad on me from dropping my tank too many times. I didn't have a full tank of gas at the time so I didn't notice it. The next day I was doing an autocross event, and every time I would make a hard left hand corner I would shoot fuel out all over the place. :nonono: So...

    Adjustable Struts Question

I have the strange struts waiting to go in my car pretty soon. I am going to keep my sway bar on for whenever I am driving on the street, then I will pull it off when I go to the track. It comes off pretty easy and I don't seem to go to the track more than once a month, so it isn't that big of...

Will this shorter belt routing work? (pic inside)

I got the water pump from Summit for $430. I think it was on backorder for almost a month.:( They sell them in red, black blue, and chrome. I drive my car pretty much every day, and they say they have an estimated life of 10,000 hours, so it should hold up for quite a while...

Will this shorter belt routing work? (pic inside)

Here is the peg on the back of the tensioner. It is about 1/2" in diameter Here is the new hole that I drilled for the tensioner. It would have worked out pretty good, but it put a little too much tension on the belt, so I am just going to use the original hole. I can always rotate it if...

    Finished shortblock

Very nice, I have contemplated going with a 4.125 bore dart motor for next year. I guess it is all going to depend on how much cash I can scrape together. Keep us updated on the progress. I love looking at, and reading about new buildups. :nice:

Will this shorter belt routing work? (pic inside)

Well after multiple trips to the parts store, I decided I am not that good at measureing for belt length. I ended up getting a KO60653 belt to work. (65.3") I had to use a screwdriver for a little leverage to get the belt on. I drilled a new hole for the tensioner and got that rotated...

Will this shorter belt routing work? (pic inside)

If you take the tensioner off and look at the back of it, there is a peg that sticks about 1/2" out of the back. That peg goes into a hole on the bracket so that once the tensioner is tightened down, the whole assembly is locked into place. I am planning on rotating the tensioner assembly...

    It was my head gasket

I went with the Cometic gaskets and ARP studs when I put on my H/C/I, and Vortech. I didn't have anything special done to my block either, I just cleaned the surfaces very well, and made sure nothing was warped. It has been 2 years so far and I have never had a problem.

Cool, I just measured the belt to be about 66.5". Hopefully I can find someone that has one in stock.

    325's mounted on 15" welds for a SN-95

Yeah, I was really happy with the kit. about the only thing extra I did was use a Cometic head gasket instead of the ones in the kit, and I bought some new lifters. Oh yeah, and I needed a 3/8" spacer so that the intake would clear the valve covers. If I remember right it was the EGR opening...

trickflow track heat engine kit with s-trim

I have the trick flow street heat top end kit and the S-trim blower, and I am running the pulleys that came with the kit. (6.87" Crank - 3.33 S/C) I have an AFM Power Pipe and see about 10 PSI of boost out of it. I dynoed aobut 465 rwhp in that form. Then I strapped a Snow meth injection...

    325's mounted on 15" welds for a SN-95

I am running about 10 PSI of boost. I have the normal Vortech pulleys that came with the kit, and an AFM Power Pipe. The last time I went to the dyno I put down 497 rwhp, and 484 ftlbs of torque. That was at about 18* of total timing with the meth kit. I have added a couple degrees of timing...
