    Our IAC's are famous for going bad, but usually they have problems with stalling. Cleaning the IAC and T/B would be a good start; its free.     Yes. The only difference between the 4.6 and 5.4 is the deck height and longer stroke. No actual specs in front of me, but for explanation sake, the 4.6 is basically a 3.55 bore x 3.55 stroke; 5.4 3.55 bore x 4.10 stroke. Longer stroke = more displacement. Makes for insane amounts of torque...

    Strut Tower Brace Clearance?

    If it doesnt fit, you'll have to take one or the other. How bad are the clearance issues? If its not much, you might be able to get away with putting a washer or two under the strut tower brace to raise it slightly if you have enough threads to play with.

    Head Swap Help!

    Do the PI head swap. They came on all 99-04 GT's. Cheap and well worth it. You'll need heads, intake manifold, and cams. Should be worth 40-50hp. Slightly raises your compression ratio.

    Oil and filter quick Q's?????

    Motorcraft filter and oil here. Only thing I've used since I bought it with 62k, almost 130k now engine runs great. Usually takes about 5 1/2 quarts.

    An N/A 5.4 drops right in. Mounts the same, uses the 4.6 harness, uses all the 4.6 accessories and everything. Get some adapter plates or HPS 5.4 intake, and slight widening of the midpipe and thats it. Similar HP to 4.6 with much more torque. Centri blower or nitrous would turn things crazy...

    Best of luck to you. IMO by the time you get all the carb stuff sorted out and running, you could probably figure out the issue you already have. Just need a wiring book and patience. Could have been something really simple.

    Exhaust leak

    The connection prior to tightening is just as important as actually tightening it. I'd move it around a little bit and try to get a better seal before you go spend more money.

    Swapping from stock to ANY midpipe will give you a nice gain and it shouldnt really matter what brand it is, especially if you go with an o/r pipe. My advice is pick something that you like (sound wise) matched to the flowmasters. I'd stick with an o/r h pipe, or prochamber for flows...
