Michelin Pilot Sport AS - 3s will make it work well year round. Also, you can buy two rims and have them fitted with Michelin Ice 3s. put them on the rear, and you will have no trouble going forward up until ground clearance is used up. I did this with my 2006 GT and plan to follow this with...

I know about the 10 quarts but have not heard about 15! Make sure you have it correct before proceeding with 15. My 2018 non-PP GT has a standard oil cooler which comes from the factory that way.

Spare tire kit for 2018 GT with 20 inch wheels

The performance pack front brakes need a special spare which Ford does not offer. Plus these PP cars have a Torsen rear diff which does not like odd or different diameter wheels. spares. You could damage the Torsen in a short drive I have heard. Non PP cars should be OK with the Ford sourced...

    First oil change?

I also pre-fill my fresh oil filters with oil before installing to get the oil pressure up as fast as possible to avoid all of this engine ticking jazz I keep reading about. The dealers don't do this hence my DYI. Walmart sourced Motorcraft oil and FL-500 filters gets the job done. Also a...

2017 GT or 2018 GT? Who watches the market?

Ford is having a really bad time with the newly redesigned MT82 manual tranny. This Chinese made unit now has aluminum shift forks which are breaking off out in the field and they are on backorder. Many owners are driving loaner cars waiting for new trannys from Ford with no relieve or...

For the love of god! Can anyone tell me what a hot shoe can do in an '18 with a manual?

The all new 6 speed manual has been breaking done due to the change over to Chinese aluminum shift forks. Several current 2018 owners are driving around in rental cars because Ford does not have a fix yet and parts are backordered big time. And the previous steel shift forks will not work in...

I think that only the Premium models have the multiple drive modes. You may want to explore the settings window between the two upper gauges to see if there is any hidden modes.

2017 GT or 2018 GT? Who watches the market?

Go and drive the amazing A10 GT in any form and you will not take a "17 I believe. The improvements are that good. For example the Mustang marketing manager said that all 18s get the PP shocks and struts to improve the ride quality over the previous models. Check out YOUTUBE videos of the 18...

I did mine at 220 miles. Found metallic grit in the pan, and the original oil filter was at least 1 inch shorter than the FL 500 replacement.

    Paint and Body Salvage car?

I would skip this project due to the extreme complexity that the latest Mustangs have. Body structure, electronics, and safety gear are way beyond the most advanced repair shops and you are right that resale will be an issue. Most insurance companies would run away from covering a rebuild like...

    Engine Noise 2018 Gt

The owner's manaul says that you should take it easy for the first 1000 miles which is very hard to do with the GT. I have run my up to 6000 rpms once and vary the motor speed under load with a warmed up engine. I did do a oil change at 220 miles and the catch pan had some metallic grit in the...

    Keep Or Trade ?

I just drove a 2018 GT Auto and the car is terrific compared to my 2006 GT. I went ahead and ordered one for delivery in a few weeks. The power is beyond belief and the new 10 speed is amazing as well. And the deals are really good this time of year with incentives in place.

Buying Advice - What Year/models Are Best?

The V-8 is much smoother than the rough V-6 and it comes with a beefier 8.8 rear axle and two piston front brakes calipers. And the true dual exhaust with H pipe from the factory are to die for. The 5 speed automatic is actually faster than the stick and makes a great cruiser . All of this is...

Buy a 2008 and up GT and you will be just fine. 2008 has the revised one piece spark plugs and updates from earlier years. The engine will last a long time and sounds so good stock. I have a 2006 GT and have fixed all of the early engineering issues...water leaks, hood corrosion, spark plug...

    Courtesy Lights In A 2005 V6

I added under dash foot well lights to my 2006 GT using some light fixtures from tailor clearance types with the color lenses removed. The bulb numbers are #168. They look great and dim with the overhead console lights. The wiring runs along the dash bottom , up the passenger side A pillar...
