    Eibach Pro-kit question

Newly installed springs has to settle for a few days before they are at their designated height, so fortunately it should go lower than 1/8".

    Eibach Pro-kit question

I followed the stangnet instructions when I installed my Eibach Pro kit, and only removed the short bolts (in front). Like Kilgore mentioned, * watch out * when you take the springs off; they can jump out and do some serious damage. As far as the brake lines; I only pulled those out from the...

    radar detectors

Those of us with radar detectors are of course going to be biased by our own brand. You should do research on the radar detector review sites - try to avoid those selling detectors as well. A lot of people likes the Escort, Bel and Valentine One's. I personally would never buy a Valentine One...

    Seafoam is teh *****!

It's close, I actually bought the image and added the exhaust clouds. Even if it had been your friends car, I'd like to think there couldn't have been any implications - even in a sue-happy country as this. The image is vectorized, and as you showed it's impossible to know what image it was...

Oh all right. It's just for the fun of it, so I made a less expensive shirt.

How do I remove the cowl?

Thanks for suggesting Haynes and especially for writing down the steps! I'll probably be pulling the car out in the 90-95 degree sun hoping it'll help prevent the coil from cracking. Two more questions in the hope that I don't have to buy the Haynes manual yet to find out: 1) does the seal...

How do I remove the cowl?

How do I remove the cowl in front of the windshield? I checked in my Ford Technical Service Manual (no, not the one that came with the car) but couldn't find any diagrams with the locations of the fastener clips listed. Does anyone here have a diagram or can tell me how to proceed? Thanks!

    hardwire radar detector help included

As long as it is installed on the "dead" side of the fuse it is the same as tapping into a wire. The fuse will protect it if it's installed on the "dead" side - however if it's installed on the "live" side of the fuse, it will not offer any protection. If anyone is installing using this...

    hardwire radar detector help included

The location has showed to work great for me. I have tested both front and rear and it's detecting the radar with plenty of warning time. It may not be a good position for other radar detectors, but the Bel 980 has no problem. I chose not to use my into an inline tap splice because - as...

    hardwire radar detector help included

That's what I am thinking, it does the same thing, so there's no need to go through the trouble to locate a wire, having to unscrew plastic pieces etc. However, if there's anyone who knows what wire to tap into, I'd be happy to add it to the instructions.

    hardwire radar detector help included

Yes, I stuck it into the fuse hole and inserted the fuse on top of the wire - I didn't have to use more force than usual to push it in - it was pretty easy. I didn't splice the radar detector wires, even though that was a possibility too. I just wanted to keep it in case I ever want to sell...
