Is it just me, or do they all look the same?

The most interesting Mustang cardomains are the ones that show their cars being home built. I like it when they show actuall pictures of their engine being rebuilt, gutted interiors, body work, cutting welding etc. So if your going to mod your Mustang, please post progress pictures on your...

Function of clip on outer ft brake pad???

...So what is the function of this clip? It doesn't even make contact with the caliper when it's in place... . You screwed up dude. The purpose of that clip is to keep the pad from moving around and causing noise. The clip should be hugging the caliper tightly! What you should've done was...

Forced to get a roll cage...which one?

I say skip the roll cage and have them get you something else that will make the Mustang safer, such as bigger brakes and better handling suspension. Wider wheel and tires etc.

    I'm finally a Mustang owner!!!!

Yeah AOD computer is ok in there. After my t-5 conversion I drove around with it for 4 years and finally swapped it out for a 1993 T-5 computer from a salvage yard for $50. By the way 1993 computers have mildler fuel/timing curves. I did notice that the manual computer holds the RPM up...

installing lower control arms, need torque specs

The only part of a car that I use proper torque is on the heads and intake manifolds. Everwhere else simply by feel, just like how sirsureshot39 said. The bigger the bolt and the finer the threads, the more torque they can take!

Help installing headlights/lights on '89 GT

The most difficult nuts to get to are the two center turn signal lights bottom nuts. I 've found to use a 7/16 or 11mm wrench to get to them from the bottom of the bumper cover. Removing the front bumper cover will make the job easier but there are too many rivets to drill out and then the...

    Rear Drum Brake Question

89MustangGx is right on. Turn the adjuster a couple of clicks at a time until you are able to slide the drum onto the axle with a slight drag but not too snug (just make sure the drum doesn't have a "lip" on the outer edge or has too much rust built up on the outer edge.) If there is rust...

8.8 housing bent?? Need help, asap.

It sounds like your causing all the problems to you rear end. Your not crushing the sleeve properly and Are you reusing the original shims on the carrier? Many do-it-yourselfers take the big gamble and resuse the carrier shims and hope that the backlash falls within specs. When I do gears at...

OK, Pulled PCV Screen..Tell Me What You Think

The screen will keep particles from clogging your PCV casuing it to stay open or closed. I wonder if that screen will slow down crankcase pressures (before entering the PVC) so that they will not pop the PVC out of the grommet?

    oil in my intake help

The PVC removes excessive gassses from the crankcase and puts them into the upper intake to get reburned. The Tube at the filler neck also send gases formed under the valve cover and puts them back into the intake to get burned. The gases do contain traces of oil in it so they will deposit...

pinion bearing removal question? and carrier spacers?

The pinion seal will come out when you pound the bearing out from the rear. The pinion seal is not on there that tight. My guess on the carrier shims would be to put the larger shim on the right side. After the pinion gear and carrier/ring gear is in and bolted down to proper specs, check...
