    Winter Tires and Rustproofing

Actually, rustproofing a car increases the resale value (if done professionally) and I did research into it and Ziebart does get into the seams on the top and bottom of the body the car and by buying a few cans of undercoating it does not do as good of a job as you cannot get the area behind the...

Finally joining the V6 club! :D

Welcome to the site. Mineral Grey is one of my favorite colors (grey or grey metallic) on a stang. If what you are talking about is window etching I don't think I would bother as I don't think it will bring down your insurance rates that much. If the car has an alarm in it that will though...

    Someone test drove a sc'd V6

Holy Crap Man! 310 to 350 horse ultimately means about 400 horse at the flywheel and that is where I want to be!!! Talk about a GT killer! That would sure shut the mouth of them "what do you mean muscle car era, it is a V6" crowd eh? I like the way the Procharger system looks better, but I...

Just traded my 67 GTA for an 2006 "Pony Package"

I was thinking GTA (as in Pontiac) myself, though I really don't know much about all of the rare collectibles prior to the mid 80's. I know about the 90s Pontiac Trans Am GTA. Was a Ford GTA made?

    Winter Tires and Rustproofing

Hey Shooterm1, I am not using my stock rims on my car at this time. When I bought my car I put my chrome Cobra R rims with Toyos on there right away (to give it more of a sporty look) and the stock ones have been sitting around until now. But I still have the stock tires with about 100 miles...

Is the Pony Package worth it?

I guess with some people the two extra cylinders is like getting two extra inches! :rlaugh:

Just traded my 67 GTA for an 2006 "Pony Package"

I think you will be happy with your new ride, I am with mine. And, to all of those who are cringing at the fact that you traded a vintage car for a new S197 I say hey that is what makes the world go round, different strokes for different folks! As far as the comment of 'being in the muscle car...

Does the 2005+ go in the snow?

I live in the Detroit, Michigan area and I just acquired four of the most aggressive snow tires I could find and placed them on my stock rims and will be putting them on in about a month or so. Anyways, my experience with mustangs and snow have all been with the '87-93 variety and it really...

    Winter Tires and Rustproofing

Well, I finally went to my friendly neighborhood Discount Tire store and had them put the snow tires on my stock rims in anticipation (sic) of snow. Yesterday, I also took my steed to Ziebart to get her rustproofed as I dread thinking of driving her around here with all of the salt that is laid...

    Any dealers doing X-Plan yet?

Got mine under an X plan in August of this year, even though the dealer had to look all over creation to find a 'red' manual 5-spd V6 (which I was insistent about). I was told that I probably have the only manual V6 in the area as most people buy autos! Finally found one in Ohio and gave me...

    Pics at Last!

Very nice pics! Those black stripes work with your car's color. The louvers rock too and really adds to that retro look! All of the dollars I can srounge seem to go to performance oriented mods though (I think it is an addiction). One day I will put some green into the looks on my car :rlaugh:

Exhaust flow on our V6s, the facts:

"On the V6 duals, no mandrel bends the smallest restriction 2.25 OD" I don't mean to be argumentative twofocused, but most people who are going to go the route of duals will most likely upgrade and purchase "GT takeoffs" or magnaflow, flowmaster mufflers, etc. that have the larger OD as...

    My new plan for duals...

Yep, with these hangers running $55 a piece and no aftermarket there is not much choice other than wait for one (or two) to pop up in the salvage yard or ebay. I almost had a seizure when I bought one at $55 and then got home went underneath the car and noticed I needed another one! Talk about...

Exhaust flow on our V6s, the facts:

I might be wrong (sometimes I am :D ) but isn't the exhaust pipe on the '05 V6 2.5" and not 2.25"??? When I went to put the GT muffler on mine (which I thot was 2.5") it fit right on the exhaust pipe. Unless you are talking about the muffler tips???

    Gears & Differentials

My advice would be to ask yourself what you want the car to do for you? If you want to go full tilt in the near future with power adders (supercharger, turbo, etc) I say do it right and put in the 8.8 when you can get one. Since this style mustang is new these will not be available en masse...

    car shops

Hey pzrobpz, I would check out the regional SE forum here at Stangnet I did notice there are other people from the Tallahassee area there (one of the threads is called "Tallahassee Rally"), so maybe some locals there can direct you to the right shops. I do know that there are some good...

    Got my 13 today!

Scrming, Maybe I'll make it out to Ubly on Saturday, I can't say for sure since it is my son's 13th birthday weekend and I am not sure what my wife has planned for that, but if I can make it out I will. It would be real cool seeing you make all of us V6'ers proud on the track!!! :D
