    Suspension install

Agreed, just some jack stands and a jack. You might need a big a$$ prybar to get the front springs with out a spring compressor. BTW air tools will help you dramatically.

    help me spend 800 bucks!

I agree with Wills 98, what are your long term plans. Just save the money for part of the supercharger fund. You are 1/5 of the way there. If the money is really burning a hole in your pocket, then I would go with an intake plenum, a new MAF (you will probably have to modify your Mac CAI, I...

New User/New Owner - Springs question

Congrats on the new car, Competition Orange just plain kicks a$$. I like my Steeda Sport Springs. Not too low, but definitely noticable.

    antiseize on plugs

Absolutely, but only a very small amount.

    Just installed my SLP exhaust

Congrats and get that video up ASAP. BTW how long did the whole install take?

Please help me decide to buy this or not

It depends on the asking price. The 96-98 mustangs didn't have the new and improved heads that give the 99+ mustangs the 40hp increase. I personally would be shy to buy a car that someone was running nitrous on. You don't know what they did to it...and engine damage could be extensive. I...

C&L Plenum and Accufab 75mm TB are not hype to me anymore!

That's refreshing. Will it be plastic or metal (aluminum)?

C&L Plenum and Accufab 75mm TB are not hype to me anymore!

If they do come out with a lower, hopefully it will be cheaper than the Bullit...$1200 :notnice: :( :nonono:

Just ordered mine. Thanks for the info. :nice:

How long should the stock clutch last?

Mine lasted 12k miles. The way to check is to see if you can still get the car sideways in second gear, or does it just rev and not go anywhere?

    13 inch rotors/brake upgrade - discbrakesrus.com

Sorry off-topic, but congrats Firemanz on the new car. What did you do with the old one? Performance Red was the best color, what color is the new one? Back on topic, I thought the 13 inch upgrade only helps to reduce brake fad, not reduce stopping distances (the Cobra/Mach kit only)...

    Full Cat-Back or just mufflers?

Do people even read the posts any more. He said he could get them for $40 a piece. Secondly, how are you getting this install price of $80? Any muffler shop will be able to do the job in less than 1 hour, and they don't make $80 an hour.

Auto Meter Guage Cluster.. why so expensive?

The Autometer gauges do look better, but they aren't any more accurate than the stock ones. I think it is so expensive because it is a plug and play mod. There is no switching over parts, just plug the new one in. BTW what isn't expensive in the modifying hobby?

    Full Cat-Back or just mufflers?

Just spend the money up front and do the job right the first time. Eventually you will buy the whole thing, so no need to buy the mufflers twice.

    Recommended Suspension Build up

Just buy the Maximum Motorsports grip in a box kit. It has everything you will ever need. It might be expensive, but just do it all at once. Or else get some Steeda sports springs. That is what I have and I am very pleased with them.

Pondering final outcome for daily driver.

Don't forget the suspension upgrades. New springs, shocks, struts, subframes will make your car handle so much better. There is no need to upgrade power if you can't control what you already have.

Any difference between a 01 and 02 GT?

The 02 have a neat little storage compartment above the rear view mirror. And they supposedly have bigger MAF (85 vs. 80). Hey guys, did we ever settle that argument?

It would be a bastard to dyno tune with twin ECU's.

    Serious Safety Question!

I do practice defensive driving, especially living in Chicago. But, when some jacka$$ just decides to run a red light or do something stupid like change lanes without looking, that is when people get hurt. BTW thanks for all the info cjones. I'm sure the padded bars are more comfortable than...

    Serious Safety Question!

Does anybody know if the MM roll bar has to be TIG welded, or is MIG okay? Cjones, how long did it take you to get used to having the bar run down the side of the door? How much of a pain is it? I'm not a huge person, (5'11", 190 lbs), but the inside is already a little tight for me. I'm...
