    Tint your own windows?

have a pro do it. not worth the hassle of trial & error. I just got my 67 done. $70, full warranty, and the guy did an excellent job. He's tinted two other cars for me, and that tint lasted as long as we had the cars (several years) w/absolutely no problems.

    Mustang Scam

no need to apologize. this is an old & obvious scam. If he'd said 28K for a GT500 it would be a little more believable..... Unless you absolutely must have a Shelby, why not consider a coupe and modify the hell out of it? Much cheaper, and you won't be destroying an icon...you could...

    Baer Disc Brake Systems

I have the track/touring combo on my 67, and I really like them over the stock drums. I haven't pushed them to any sort of limit, but they've been great in everyday conditions. I got mine directly from Baer w/everything I need for a full conversion for IIRC $2350 delivered. EASY install...

how can I minimize the steering wheel play I have in my 69 mach 1?

I see. I was under the impression that tightening the screw was the only way to adjust the slop out of the box when the recirculating ball assy begins to wear out.

How much difference do gears REALLY make?

You'll notice a nice difference with 3.5x gears over your 2.89.

    Another unusual restomod

LMFAO. people actually bid on it, too.

    Another unusual restomod

Another fine example of proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. that poor car looks like a hearse. All the people who get up in arms when a nice fastback is turned into an Eleanor have nothing to complain about as long as idiots are engaging in this kind of bestiality with classic...

Someone Needs to Jump on This Before It Gets Away

I think the script says "Mustang Type-R. Powered by V-Tec, yo."

how can I minimize the steering wheel play I have in my 69 mach 1?

:nice: this is only a temporary fix, though. I got rid of some slop in the steering box in my 67 this way, but it's by no means a cure-all.

May have to sell it, est. value anyone?

FYI: I just did a quick nationwide search on collectorcartraderonline.com for 67-68 verts and the prices were from 1500 for a complete basket case parts car to over $50K for a regular vert (non shelby)

May have to sell it, est. value anyone?

I'd still say that you could get at least $15K in the right area, and if it's very nice when you've put it back together, I don't think $20K + is unreasonable, either. It's all a matter of finding the right buyer.

May have to sell it, est. value anyone?

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I think tastefully-done restomods are pulling in more $ than stockers these days (on non-collectible models, like plain jane coupes, verts, and fastbacks, anyway). If you have to sell, don't just put it in your local paper and wait for the local tire-kickers to come...

Someone Needs to Jump on This Before It Gets Away

I think those were aftermarket productions. I'm pretty sure that the removable hardtops were, anyway.

lol. starting bid of $7500 for that monstrosity, huh? optimistic, isn't he?
